Mike User Info... | Adrian Bromley aka 'The Energizer' aka 'Mr Pink Bunny' owner of Unrestrained Magazine passed away suddenly in Brooklyn on Sunday of pneumonia at age 37. This is very tragic and huge loss for the canadian music scene. Adrian has been around since the days of M.E.A.T. Magazine and also worked for The End Records. Having dealt with Adrian a number of times over the years, I can attest to the fact that he was a stand up individual who was extremely dedicated to spreading the metal gospel via well written articles and interviews with bands and musicians worldwide. His knowledge of music was like an encyclopedia, and his album collection will likely fill a moving truck. He turned me on to a variety of music over the years including one of my current faves Porcupine Tree. RIP Bunnyman. http://www.unrestrainedmag.com/ http://www.bravewords.com/braveboard/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=86432 . - Wed, 10 Dec 2008 11:21am Edited: Wed, 10 Dec 2008 12:12pm

Mike User Info... | Posted on Monday, December 08, 2008 at 13:15:06 EST It is with a very heavy heart we report that Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley passed away in his sleep on December 7th, 2008 at the young age of 37. He had just celebrated his birthday on November 30th. To say that Adrian was active in the metal scene is an understatement. Early in his journalism career he worked at Canada's M.E.A.T Magazine (along with BW&BK's Carl Begai and "Metal" Tim Henderson). Soon-after, Adrian, along with Gino Filicetti formed one of the world's first extreme metal webzines called Chronicles Of Chaos. Adrian went on to create Unrestrained! Magazine which gained worldwide popularity in the extreme underground realm. More recently he worked press and publicity at The End Records and moved on to form Ixmati Media, a company that represented the likes of Listenable Records, Blistering Records, Northern Storm Records, Ibex Moon Records, Shadow Kingdom Records among others. He had also started his new label called Absurdist Records. - Wed, 10 Dec 2008 2:47pm
Spinvis User Info... | Yeah its shocking. Talked to him on Saturday about a design file I was sending him, all seemed fine with him. Then was supposed to talk to him on Sunday, didn't hear back and then found out he DIED! I'm guessing maybe he thought he had the flu and didn't get it checked with the doctors. - Wed, 10 Dec 2008 9:00pm
Mutilashawn User Info... | Shitty! He was like our Nathan T Birk .. good writer .. very prolific. I remember going through a copy of Unrestrained! when I was younger and noticed that he wrote about 80% of the magazine! What a maniac .. - Thu, 11 Dec 2008 10:42am
Mike User Info... | yah he'd write 80% of the magazine while at the same time running the show, working for various labels or doing PR for bands (like 'Master' ), posting 50+ times a day on http://www.Bravewords.com and travelling to some far off realm for whichever metal festival was happening and then visiting every record store in the city. The guy was a work horse, well I guess thats how he got the nickname 'The Energizer' cause he just kept going and going.. too bad those batteries didnt get him to the hospital in time. - Thu, 11 Dec 2008 11:05am Edited: Thu, 11 Dec 2008 11:06am
Mr. Hell User Info... | This is sad news. He was a great dude and very supportive of metal and music in general. A huge loss for music journalism. Condolences to his family and close friends. R.I.P., Mr. Bromley. - Thu, 11 Dec 2008 3:32pm
