| grimlord User Info... | It is cool that the u.s. is moving forward in world thinking and giving the u.s. people hope, but to take that hope away would bring them lower then ever be for .I am glad that he won but am I the only one to think that if some asshole was to assassinate him it would be very bad and it would be the L.A. riot all over the u.s. and the world .I would hate to see that happen ,the times are a changing and it would be a sad day in humanity for us to come so far and fall so low. - Wed, 5 Nov 2008 4:36pm | ||

Everyone talks like this is going to be some wonderful thing and it just doesn't make sense. He's a politician. They're all full of it. | Mike User Info... | Somehow I doubt he will get assasinated. First of all he is a majority leader, which means he has substantially more public support than Bush had. Not that this alone is a gaurantee someone isnt out ot get him (conspiracy theories have already been prominent ) but the fact is, alot of people wanted Clinton and Bush Jr and Bush Sr dead, and it didnt happen.. after Reagan got popped, technology and security methods changed and are changing. Sure, Bush Jr had that dud grenade thrown at him, but that happened in the country of Georgia by a non-US citizen.. he was hated that much.. Since Obama is unlikely to start any wars he wont be as hated abroad where the Secret Service have less control. These days, he wont get sniped, because all possible sniper locations are occupied by Secret Service snipers. So it would have to be an inside or up close job, but again, technology has come a long way and the dogs alone will sniff out most people who have any bombs/guns or incindiaries on them. And dont feel bad Grimlord, in my eyes you are not a canadian european, you're just another white trash heathen. That being said, its great to see Bush gone, and the fact that american racist movements have really suffered a blow no matter how inconsequential to their beliefs, its a great thing. | Jl User Info... | every president elect has had the conspiracy theorists up in arms about being assasinated... black white yellow purple... skin aside; there hasn't been one president/leader who hasn't faced the fact that, in the line of his/her duty, the possiblity of assasination isn't far fetched. They are figure heads representing and leading a country; I dont know why its so suprising to people that there's idiots and morons out there looking to "take out" a/the president(obama, bush, clinton, reagan, JFK).
