Radio Critic I have heard so much of this band, and never have heard anything musically from then until today. There was a 10 minute "rockstar" interview with the guitarist i believe. With winning last nights Best of the island award I pantiently waited for their tune. It came on, track #4 from their album. This is what i think of. 2 thumbs down. Dont know if it is talent or what, just a bad tune. I am being most unbiased, as i have nothing to do with Moneyshot and never have. This recording I heard today wasnt pleasing to the ear at all. Please dont slag me thinking I am slagging them, i am not, just my opinion - Mon, 19 May 2003 4:53pm

Moneyshot sucks Although the guys that I have met from the band are nice enough.Everytime I have seen them live, all's I can think is fuck do they suck.I don't want to dig at them, even though it makes me cringe @ them being called punk. They are pop/rock,and are sometimes playing w/ bands that are punk; sadly it points out how weak their music is.Seems to me it's geeks playing pop,and those who choose to see them probably like the radio and much music teen hour(if there is such a thing.) - Mon, 19 May 2003 11:46pm

I can't say much for much music or radio stuff, but I do think that Moneyshot kicks ass live. Lots of energy, tight band, good songs. Their last show with Death By Stereo was awesome. - Tue, 20 May 2003 12:09am

their toddler canuck punk makes my stomach tighten when i hear it. bore me to fucking death with shite regurgitated rifts it sounds like they should be singing on gas commercials! - Tue, 20 May 2003 12:13am
Anonymous they sound like bad religion - Tue, 20 May 2003 11:09pm
WTF? "their music is weak when it's put up against punk music", hold shit batman if anything they show how pathetic, simple, and hypocritical punk music is. They blow the doors off of almost every punk rock band because they know how to play their instruments!Pull yer head out of your dumbass and get some better musical knowledge you dimwit! - Tue, 20 May 2003 11:53pm
Trailer Park Boy Julian I think Moneyshot is a damn fine band - punk or otherwise!! Even if they don't fit YOUR definition of punk that's cool.... "Blades of Steel" could very well be THE catchiest song I've EVER heard about hockey, hands down. That in itself, is an accomplishment!! Anyway, I dig both their recorded stuff and live shows and think that the Victoria "scene" would be a helluva lot lamer without 'em.... - Wed, 21 May 2003 12:26am

OK, moneyshot is good, in my opinion... They are not traditional PUNK FUKKIN RAWK! but, their songs deliever what they were made to deliver, hit hard, and get out withing two and a half minutes (no wait, thats the Ramones, one sec...)

Ok, moneyshot is not a crappy band. They do have a pop-punky/rock aura around them, but they sound exactly like what they say they are "blues/metal/rock influenced punk". They have sore REALLY catchy shit, and none of it is to hard, but then again, its not too soft for me... They have almost EXACTLY what they need to become really successful... And some other people to become famous from the island, not just nelly fartado and Swollen Members, and I think Moneyshot are those other people...
Cheese!
