Why don't people do afternoon shows at the hall?

DOWNTOWN COMMUNITY ACTIVITY CENTRE Here at the Downtown Community Activity Centre we want to put out an idea. Why doesn't people do some all ages afternoon shows at the Downtown Community Activity Centre? Rentals are 50% cheaper and then you can leave your nights open.

Another idea is to rent the patio if you don't mind bundling up. It's at the fall/winter rate of a whooping $10.00 per hour (that's 75% cheaper than a evening special event rental). - Fri, 1 Nov 2002 7:22pm

it's a cool idea. All the early NY hardcore bands(Cro-Mags, Murphy's Law etc.) used to play afternoon matinees(sp?) I've often thought that it would be cool to do something like that here. - Sun, 3 Nov 2002 7:58am
Anonymous the vancouver all agers usually happen in the afternoon too, or so i hear. i'd go. - Sun, 3 Nov 2002 4:49pm
DOWNTOWN COMMUNITY ACTIVITY CENTRE To answer two questions:

We are located at 755 Pandora Ave.

Secondly, I think that many people would be into going to afternoon shows sometimes. This isn't to say that people wouldn't promote and attend a lot of night shows too, but I think it would be refreshing to see afternoon shows happen. Tons of good shows have happenned in the afternoon (especially in the summer) in the past and they can again.

We just thought it would be a good idea to throw out there as it also gives people a more affordable alternative to booking night shows at the hall. - Sun, 3 Nov 2002 7:39pm
