Spark | okay so let's have it, who can name all the metal genres? my piddly little list: heavy speed thrash black death nu (haha) melodic (apparently can be applied to several of these for sub-sub genre reference) Spooky-core (hahahah just had to add it, Coal Chamber's discription of thier music) - Fri, 9 May 2003 7:50pm
moron User Info... | Here's the metal sub-genres I can think of: death metal (Cannibal Corpse) power metal (Blind Guardian) grindcore (some consider it synonymous with death metal) speed metal (I consider this synonymous with "thrash metal") black metal gothic metal (much of what is called bllack metal these days should really be goth metal or just plain goth) hair metal (80s top 40 shit) groove metal nu-metal (i.e. false metal) heavy metal (generic term more appropriate for older stuff) There's more too but those are the ones that come to mind. - Fri, 9 May 2003 8:35pm
