What's up with the pig squealing? 5) POD - All Albums : How come these guys are still alive? 4) Creed - All Albums : I know they are not really metal, I just really hate creed. 3) Linkin Park - Every Album : HAHAHAHAHA they really suck. 2) Limp Bizkit - Significant Other : Break this album. If they put out that album under animosity, and called theirselves MEAT-O you would be the first one to buy their album. Thats a good album. Other than that..good choices. Although I agree all the bands you list arent metal and never were, except Metallica, who apparently are metal again, but as for Hatebreed.. they definately fall into the cross-over category. As for what people do and dont consider metal, well there are even alot of people in the metal scene who dont even consider ML7 metal. Sometimes its just comes down to personal opinion... | _Griphin_ User Info... | Actually Perseverance wasn't such a bad CD when it first came out, though I like there first album a lot more. And as morbid as this sounds, I really liked both the Load/Reload albums Metallica came out with. True it's not metal, and there's a lot of experimentation they do with different styles, but it doesn't make the music sound stale. It's hard to pinpoint what makes a crummy album or cheesy band, cause that's what I'm into :) - Thu, 8 May 2003 4:13pm | ||

As far as the comments about sub-genres goes......... do you know why the industry uses the term sub-genres? Because most of the people in the industry dont have a fucking clue about music, so they try to make it easy. They're just there to make money off the bands. Thats like expecting a salesman to know everything about every product he sells. They dont know what to classify bands as, so they just lump them into the easiest category. While a band like Hatebreed may have metal influence, the majority of their sound comes from the new york hardcore scene which is directly derived from punk rockers and skinheads. As for Marylin Manson.....? You've got to be kidding me. I guess that means that the Ministry and Nine Inch Nails are metal as well huh. Oh no wait thats right they're industrial music with a bit of new wave techno, dance remix thrown in. Just from reading your list, you really dont have a clue what metal is, you might want to actually spend some time looking into that before you try to sound like you know what your talking about and just end up looking like a dumbass. - Fri, 9 May 2003 1:20am | ||

They'd be great albums if they were their first 2 records they ever had, but going back to the real shit and listening to that kinda makes me cringe.
