Big Hard Man-Meat | I have officially had ENOUGH of studded "rocker" belts. These belts signify "rock", but also "punk", "mod", and "I bought this at the mall cause I'm a teeniebopping wannabe".....these belts are OVERDONE. Sorry, it's over. Give it up. "Your like SOOOOOOO last season!" - Mon, 5 May 2003 3:09pm
Pinball | Yeah, they're supergay. - Mon, 5 May 2003 3:17pm

Anonymous | Supergay is cooler. - Mon, 5 May 2003 3:25pm
Em | I've tried telling people this before, they're not 'cool' anymore when you can buy one at WAL-MART! What kind of anti-establishment statement is that?!! - Mon, 5 May 2003 3:58pm
Big Hard Man-Meat | UPDATE: I have changed my mind: Simply because "The Man" and his big corporations have mass produced these rocker belts in attempt to make money while at the same time diluting the power of the belt's punk statement does NOT mean that we have to succumb to the dilution. Just because these belts are everywhere doesn't mean they have lost their meaning! Their meaning has simply multiplied. Their meaning is "rebellion" and the more people we have rebelling, the better. So what if these belt-wearing-punk-posers are not "original" punks! Punk attitude should not be reserved for a select punk elite! Power to people, even if they don't understand that they are, in small way, A PART OF THE REVOLUTION. So lets encourage these kids, to go buy their fucking WAL-MART rocker belts. Let them call themselves "punks", "rockers", "rebels", "anti-establishmentarianists" ....and maybe oneday (we can hope) they will take the time to find out what these words REALLY mean. Its a start. - Mon, 5 May 2003 7:43pm

Anonymous | They're done! Them and their stupid cousin, the White belt. Oh and we musn't forget the Side belt that arrogantly avoids the beltloops altogether. That's just irritating. - Tue, 6 May 2003 12:31am
name | the original meaning of the "rocker" belt was fettish. It was connected with S/M and I think it lost that meaning along time ago, when punks who wern't into S/M started wearing it. ... and BTW who the fuck cares, I don't stop wearing things becuse twinks start. Shit if thats your attitude why don't you pack it up and shop at The Gap. - Tue, 6 May 2003 12:41am
Kristy User Info... | Do you people REALLY care THAT much about these belts? Seriously, if thats what makes you "punk", then I think punk lost ITS meaning. - Tue, 6 May 2003 8:59am

Kristy User Info... | I never said a studded belt makes u punk... And the original "punk mentality" did die out 20 yrs ago, but does that make people that are "punk" today n e less punk? Lets face it, punk is just a bloody fashion trend. If the clothes people wear make them "punk" then I have no fucking clue what punk is. Which brings us back to that annoying eternal question, what is punk? And isn't it "punk" not to be punk? I mean to not label people by their clothes and the music they listen to? And why do all u snotty nose kids want to be stuck in some confined label n e ways? So if u go out one day looking not so punk rawk u r all of a sudden some poser, I don't get that. Oh and by the way...would it matter if I did listen to those pop fuck up bands? no I don't think it does, actually I would rather listen to some good hardcore if I had to choose. But I don't need to defend my musical taste to you because thats just not "punk". So just get over the stupid fucking belts already...if your really as punk as u say u r then u wouldn't give a shit anyways, because "punk" is supposed to be about not giving a shit and doing your own thing in the end n e ways. ~*End Rant*~ - Tue, 6 May 2003 1:33pm
