| Break and Enter User Info... | So, my wife and daughter came home from the beach yesterday to find some scumbag in our basement with our TV in his hands. My wife chased him out of the house with a bottle of olive oil. Apparently he had already made one trip to his van - loaded up my son's hockey bag with all of our electronics, jewelery, the kids piggy banks, etc. At this point I just want the SD card from the digital camera and some of the old video tapes back. I can't replace the memories. So, if you happen to hear of anyone trying to move a canon digital rebel or a digital video camera that had old tapes in the case please let me know - no questions asked. - Tue, 17 Jun 2008 9:24am | ||

| mica User Info... | Yeah, there is definitely someone who is targeting musicians. The guitarist in my band had his place broken into a couple of weeks ago. Aidan Knight got broken into the day before we did and a guy I work with knows some musicians whose place was broken into yesterday. My wife did get the plate number. But, the plates were stolen off of a van in Oak Bay. The van itself was stolen as well and dumped a few blocks from our house. We live in a quiet neighborhood with very little of this going on. My wife, daughter and the dog left for the beach and then the guy broke in, which suggests he was watching and had not just randomly picked our house. I'm just so thankful things didn't go sideways with my wife and six year old daughter walking in on this guy. It really is hard to believe that there are people out there that would go into kid's rooms and steal their fucking piggy banks. - Wed, 18 Jun 2008 9:15am | ||
| sincitydevil User Info... | Yeah...something truly shitty is happening and it probably stems from some junkie douchebag who needs money for their next fix. I too was broken into and robbed this past week of a few thousand dollars worth of music gear (guitars, amp, mxing board, fx processing unit, etc). I decided not to post what I was robbed of or where it happened in hopes of the robber posting the gear for sale online with contact info. No luck so far...I'm just lucky we had insurance. Although, next time they come around...I WILL HAVE A LOADED SHOTGUN pointed at their head. I've also heard that Barclays Exchange on Douglas has a nasty habit of purchasing stolen goods without I.D. taken...so it's a good place for everyone to start looking. I work in Centennial Square and watch them all walk around with the weirdest stuff that you know isn't theirs....luggage, guitars etc.... And I think Mica's right...musicians are definitely being targeted big time. It was nice to hear Mike from Smoked Out Brainz actually got his guitar back! Learn this lesson....never let your gear out of your site!!!!
