curious | Who is the best tattoo artist in Vancouver??? I have had a few done at universal when Jeff was there, but know that I am living over here where should I go?? I guess i could always come back over to the island for a day and get one done. - Wed, 16 Apr 2003 10:19pm
*GKdc | The "best" tattoo artist is pretty subjective, don't you think? I would suggest getting a phone book, making a list of some shops in Vancouver, and then checking them out, making an effort to see the individual portfolios of the different tattooers and generally trying to find an artist that has the style and/or attitude you're looking for. Or you could ask heavily tattooed people where they go, and who they might recommend. Or even just go down to any of the Sacred Heart locations and talk with some of those guys. Or visit Vicboria every so often, and get tattooed up. The options are endless. - Wed, 16 Apr 2003 11:54pm

jay brown User Info... | Your best bet is to ask tattoo arists who they think the best is. It definitely used to be the Dutchman, but he aint what he used to be, while he is still a great artist he isnt at the top of the list. From my personal experience the majority of artists I know all agree that Dave Shore in surrey is the man. I've seen a lot of his work and it is unfuckingreal. There are a lot of shops over in van, and as is always the case when your going to get ink buried in your skin, research them all if you can and find out for yourself. Different artists olviously have different styles and what you may want might be better done by somebody else. You just have to remember that you can lose everything else in the world, but unless they're going to cut your skin off you'll always have your tattoos. So make sure you get a damn good one or your going to end up like me and spend the majority of your adult life covering up crap you got when you were younger. By the way Jeff was one of the guys that turned me on to Dave Shore. - Thu, 17 Apr 2003 2:23pm
