| THE JAK User Info... | over the years i have seen a few threads on this board regarding who does good work on guitars and that type of thing. Recently i had my child hood lespaul in to see sonny black this guitar had been beatn the shit out of ...sonny rewired it with new gibson pick-ups and even got the coil tap that never worked to work he also straightened the neck planed the fretboard and put in new frets.then set it up for the strings i like.....it now plays like a brand new guitar I bet i can get another 20 years out of it...and i can't stress enough this guitar was done..beat...dead...and when i got the bill i could'nt believe what he was charging me i thought it was going to be double.....anyway...to make a short story really long...sonny black does some amazing work at a fair price...only thing is he lives out in sooke - Fri, 23 May 2008 3:23am Edited: Fri, 23 May 2008 3:25am | ||
| Jl User Info... | i second your opinion... he's a really good tech. The only other person who's in his calibur would be Rufus; but he's since gone. btw, how much did the new fret's cost?
