Livevic Scott User Info... | I just recieved an email from Buck 65s management asking me to post this message. Victoria police are investigating the theft of recording equipment valued at $5,000 stolen from the Buck 65 concert last night (Thursday). Buck was playing at Alix Goolden Hall when our tour manager discovered the theft at about 11:30 p.m. PT. Among the items stolen from the soundstage area were audio and recording gear and about 40 hours of footage that had been recorded over the past three weeks that was to be made into a DVD. We are appealing to those responsible for the theft to return the video footage, which is invaluable and can't be replaced. There will be no questions asked. If you have any information about this unfortunate incident, please contact management at [email protected], or 250 995 2642. - Fri, 9 May 2008 1:45pm
Zedius User Info... | Wow, I can't believe how much this sucks. I hope he gets it back. Any chance we'd get a list of the gear so we can keep a more specific eye out? - Sat, 10 May 2008 11:47am
Hearse User Info... | WTF security? ... inside job? - Sun, 11 May 2008 9:58pm
sumyungai User Info... | I've worked a few shows at the Alix Goolden, and it is kind of the last place you would expect something like this to occur. Having said that, I have just found out that they (the Alix Goolden) have also on another occasion had their Bose arrays stolen. It is kinda crackhead central around there. - Sun, 11 May 2008 10:26pm
{UTA} Mike User Info... | Sucks for Buck.. I was gonna go to that show too. It is crackhead central.. which is all the more reason to watch gear at all times.. that should be a given no matter where the band are playing. - Mon, 12 May 2008 11:02am
Mr. Hell User Info... | I bet there were at least two turntables and a microphone in the loot. But seriously, lame deal. Hope they are at least insured. Destroy all thieves! - Mon, 12 May 2008 7:01pm
Livevic Scott User Info... | Yeah I didn't get a gear list, just the bit about the tapes that they're really choked about. Devlin tossed this release into a story for the TC over the weekend where they said the gear loss wasn't massive (shitty but not horrific) but the big kick in the nuts was all the footage they were shooting for a live DVD. If you read the TC article too, Devlin mentioned a few other acts that had their gear stolen... he didn't mention the Cancer Bats though, who didn't have their gear stolen but a pile of personal property as they got ripped off while they were on stage... one of the openers (I think it was Conversation) had their van broken into as well but thankfully didn't have much in it... still blows having to pay for the broken window. fucking savages in this town.. - Mon, 12 May 2008 11:46pm
