| PIerce User Info... | So yeah. I checked out this show today. It's a KICK ass show. Kick ass, only because it gives you an indept look at how shitty Navy life is. I sailed in the Navy, and specifically on that exact class of ship on a "crosspol". And along with my 11+ years in the Navy, may i suggest this...... Stay as far away as possible from the military.!!!!! I don't care who tells you otherwise, it's not worth it. No matter which way you look at it. | jackass User Info... | I've only seen a few mins of a couple episodes, but 2 things made me laugh: - an executive officer giving a bit of a speech and concluding it with, "lets go kill some terrorists" - that one girl who joined the navy because she wants to be a chef and the navy was supposed to have a great chef school, but all she does is cook boxes and boxes of packaged foods 12-14 hours at a time. funny shit. - Sun, 4 May 2008 11:16am | ||

| Chopper User Info... | I didn't mean mandatory to serve in the navy, but at least one of the branches. There are a lot of countries that have laws like this on the book and have far less societal problems than we do (N America). Serving is hardly comparable to jail. One also has to question why, if the experience was so horrid, that you'd stay signed up for '11+ years'. Depending on the trade you take also varies how enjoyable the experience is. Now wouldn't be a good time to enlist, but I was in during peace time, so it was a cakewalk. - Sun, 4 May 2008 7:55pm | ||
