Dick Doesjizz | Hot Hot Heat has Hot Hot Riffs d00d. Here's to you getting over it instead of crying like a wee bairn. - Tue, 1 Apr 2003 11:21am
gfdgfd | they're a bunch of transvestites and their music sucks. - Tue, 1 Apr 2003 12:39pm

1234 | Hey ma, another tranyphobe! Look out tranyphobe, it's someone of a specific gender wearing garments culturally restricted to members of the opposite gender! SCAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARY! /fkkr - Tue, 1 Apr 2003 4:19pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Why do people hack down the band? Is the album THAT bad? - Thu, 3 Apr 2003 11:13pm
Anonymous | if it is so bad then how come so many people seem to like it (other than you) - Thu, 3 Apr 2003 11:31pm
eboner User Info... | i think the album is good, but its obviously not suited fer everybodys taste. - Thu, 3 Apr 2003 11:34pm
Old friend | The problem with the Hot Hot Heat is their whole approach to music. They always seemed intent on "makin' it big" rather than making something meaningful or cool. While their ep and album are well-produced and full of decent hooks, it feels like the soul is missing. It's almost like these guys want to be rock stars so they can look like rockstars, not so they can actually rock. Still though, you have to give them at least a little bit of respect for being calculating enough to realize when and where they had to be, and what they had to do to "make it big." And while their music may be souless and doomed for irrelevance in the big picture of rock, they've still accomplished a lot more than so many of you poseurs who bitch while secretly wishing you could be at that Warner Bros. party with them. - Fri, 4 Apr 2003 11:23am
Anonymous | Agreed!!!!!!! I don't think they are very good musicians, but they don't write bad songs and they look the part. That seems to be what it's about these days. - Sat, 5 Apr 2003 5:10pm
Anonymous | Hey "Old friend", that was well put. I don't know about hhh since I'm not really familiar with them, but it does apply to many bands out there. - Sat, 5 Apr 2003 5:26pm
Anonymous | i don't understand how you can say that Dante isn't a good guitar player? he is very good rythmically and Paul's drum parts are very original. Steve's vocals are excellent, his range is all over the place, it's not boring like what's on the radio these days (i.e. theory of a deadman, etc.) Dustin's bass playing is great. - Sat, 5 Apr 2003 5:50pm
Anonymous | You're all a bunch of fags. - Sat, 5 Apr 2003 8:47pm
Gleamer User Info... | I personally dislike hot hot heat, but they don't suck. I think my personal distaste for them is rooted in the notion that they sacrificed artistic integrity for popular success. If you make it big playing the songs you've always played then it stands to reason that those who supported you then will support you now. But Steve Bays used to be in a goddamned hardcore band you know? he had blue hair and playing in thursdays for christ sake. It kinda prompts the question, what happened? - Sat, 5 Apr 2003 8:57pm
Anon386 | I think the switch away from Blue hair is probably about the same as the switch to it. Whatever. Why not get paid to make music and tour. Should they have said fuck you we'd rather stick to Thursdays and the Cobalt for beer and gas money? Duh. - Sat, 5 Apr 2003 11:14pm
Anonymous | It's not selling out if you are doing it for the money from the start. It is called buying in. - Sat, 5 Apr 2003 11:43pm
Anon386 | People who don't sell out usually end up staying at home alone in front of computers or televisions on Saturday nights. Too poor and stupid to take a chance with physical interaction. - Sat, 5 Apr 2003 11:47pm
Gleamer User Info... | I didn't say selling out, you did. - Sun, 6 Apr 2003 1:25am
Anonymous | Fuck man...Is there some MAJOR jealousy on this board by a few local "hacks" who wish they were in their shoes??....ummmmmmmm...Ya...LOL - Sun, 6 Apr 2003 3:06am
clyde"THE DON"burnside | their great,and happy for them. - Sun, 6 Apr 2003 3:38am
Anonymous | I want to be in Hot Hot Heat. I have lots of respect for them. They are extremely intelligent people. They play simple, unoriginal, over-marketed music. They get paid a lot of money to do this. I can play any of their songs very easily, on any instrument I might add, even though I am not much of a musician. Who wouldn't like to have teenage girls throughing themselves and their money at you, and all you have to do pretty much is stand there. Now if anyone is interested I will gladly tell them about how much I respect the great businessman, and worst rapper of all time, Eminem..... - Sun, 6 Apr 2003 3:40am
Anonymous | oh yes, I might add that I am not much of a speller.... but who needs to know how to spell if they can pull a HHH? - Sun, 6 Apr 2003 3:46am

What band is entirely original these days anyway, and that goes for all genres of music?? You do what you do, and if your succesful doing it, you get slagged for it??? What's wrong with people?? When I get another record deal, I'll be sure NOT to mention I'm from hicktoria, cuz there is little to zero support here for local musicians from small minded peabrains who drag their wimpy little feet, and make excuses for their own lack of drive and talent by demeaning others talent and drive. Wake the fuck up!...It seems most of the slagging that goes on here is done by unhappy, unemployed hacks who have never played a gig in their lives, yet act like armchair critics(with really bad grammar I might add). Get a job, get a life, get a band, and see how for you go. If you have any belief in karma, it should be interesting. BTW, Eminem is a fucking great rapper, not to mention lyricist, and recently, actor. I don't know how anyone can say the guy isn't talented. Go back to sleep ya 2 pump chump! - Sun, 6 Apr 2003 12:10pm
Anonymous | Hey smart guy, notice the obvious attempt at .... ah fuck it your too stupid. - Sun, 6 Apr 2003 1:26pm
