The Voice Of Reason | I was blown away when michael Moore got up and did his Oscar speech. I hope these episodes of 'the awful truth' finish downloading off kazaa soon. MOORE'S ACCEPTANCE SPEECH Michael Moore: Whoa. On behalf of our producers Kathleen Glynn and Michael Donovan from Canada, I'd like to thank the Academy for this. I have invited my fellow documentary nominees on the stage with us, and we would like to they're here in solidarity with me because we like nonfiction. We like nonfiction and we live in fictitious times. We live in the time where we have fictitious election results that elects a fictitious president. We live in a time where we have a man sending us to war for fictitious reasons. Whether it's the fictition of duct tape or fictition of orange alerts we are against this war, Mr. Bush. Shame on you, Mr. Bush, shame on you. And any time you got the Pope and the Dixie Chicks against you, your time is up. Thank you very much. - Mon, 24 Mar 2003 3:17pm

J.F.K.F.C. User Info... | You have to appreciate the amount of research in every movie or book michael moore puts out. The man litters his work with enough facts to shut anyone up. People get assasinated for doing the shit he does. - Mon, 24 Mar 2003 6:17pm
matt t User Info... | Jack was sitting there laughing. Michael moore can do that shit because he is established and doesnt to appease directors for a paycheck, it was pretty funny watching the actors in the audience with huge smiles on thier faces that were extremely anti war (people like tim robbins, dustin hoffman, louis gosset jr, etc). The new vi really liked it, CNN totally blasted him. - Mon, 24 Mar 2003 7:13pm

lily_liquor | Bowling for Porcupines is the best movie I've seen in a loooong time...I bought 3 copies of his book to give as Christmess gifts. Finally someone real with a valid, smart, alternative outlook on politics has broken into the mainstream. Rule. - Mon, 24 Mar 2003 10:29pm

Anonymous | Micheal Moore Will Save North America (or get assasinated just minutes before he does so) - Tue, 25 Mar 2003 3:41am
Dr.LOAD | CNN blows, not only have they screwed up facts more times than any other news station who's coverage I've seen, they are way too quick to do and say whatever the US government tells them too. Up to this point I've found that CBC has been doing a pretty good job, with both up to date information (not repeated every 2 minutes) and with interesting and relivant interviews to boot. I pitty the ignorant American majority that is buying into the B.S. propaganda and two dimensional reasoning behind this war, yeh Sadam is an evil guy, but so are many of the worlds leaders and you don't se the US going in to help places like South Africa recover to even half the level of living that Iraqi's have. They use false caring to justify a war of alterior political and personal motives. - Tue, 25 Mar 2003 4:01am
