| swallowingstars User Info... | Well, here's what's happening. Mazda has sponsored a band contest where the winning band gets to open for Sam Roberts at their school! We made it to the semi-finals out of all the bands in Canada - and we are representing Camosun (one of our bandmates is a student at Camosun). So we are the only band from Victoria and we're representing Camosun. So if we can win the contest -- FREE Sam Roberts concert in Victoria, to be held at Camosun College in April!! :-) So right now, what we need to get to the finals, is for everyone to vote for us (Caroline Spence Band) on Saturday, March 15th starting at 8am online at http://www.mazdamusictour.com We have this one 24 hour period to get everyone to vote for us. Each e-mail address is a vote, and they delete them after the contest - so there's no spam. Anyway, we need to get the word out. I think it will be a super cool thing to have a Sam Roberts concert at Camosun - and of course, get to open the show. :-) So thanks for your support in advance. Please feel free to spread the word. Once we would get to the finals -- it would be out of 12 bands representing each region of Canada -- and there would be more voting to be done every day. | Rekoyle User Info... | I saw Sam a coule of years ago in Centenial Park. It wasn't a bad show, but not great. Then I saw him in an interview where he said how much he HATES being a musician! Then his second album came out - and SUCKED! So I no longer care for his career or his politics. | CSB User Info... | Hey everyone! We made to the finals, whoohooo!!! :-) Thanks everyone who voted for us. Much appreciated!!! We are SOOOOO close!!! We will need people to vote for us every day from Tuesday, March 25th to April 4th. Each e-mail address counts as a vote. You can vote with all your e-mail addresses and you can vote with them every day. They don't e-mail you or spam you and all e-mail addresses are deleted at the end of the contest. If you can spread the word too, that would be a great help! By winning, we'd get to open for Sam Roberts and it would mean the concert would take place here in Victoria at Camosun College - and it would be free! We'd also get much needed recording time as part of the prize. I'd really appreciate your help, whether you like Sam Roberts or us, or not.
