unattained | Hey, Edwin Starr died yesterday! Fuck, strategic timing, or what?? what a great song, hopefully more people hear it. - Thu, 3 Apr 2003 11:52am
Troutbreath | War was an LA band that features Eric Burdon (of the Animals) as Lead Singer and Lee Oscar on Harmonica. I think they were happening in the mid seventies although my recollection on that is a bit ummmm....hazy. They did indeed do some very cool songs including 'Country City Country' and 'Lowrider'. Long Live Edwin Starr! - Thu, 3 Apr 2003 12:24pm
clarity | The band "War" has NOTHING to do with the song "War" and NOTHING to do with Edwin Starr who's DEAD now! - Thu, 3 Apr 2003 12:58pm
clarity | Edwin Starr wrote and performed the original version of "War" - Thu, 3 Apr 2003 12:59pm
