Margaret Houlihan User Info... | it's impossible to find a dog friendly house in town in a decent price range. especially when your dog is one of "those dogs" that people hate on because of their breed. any one know of any houses/suites/etc for rent around right now?????? any ideas help, thank you. - Wed, 12 Dec 2007 12:08am
trevor corey User Info... | Very beautiful dog you have there. I love them. It drives me nuts how wrongly judged the terriers are these days. The one pictured above was abandoned on my friends rez. My wife was out of town, so I brought her home. Sweetest thing, yet people will cross the street when they see us coming. Good luck. I'll ask around. - Wed, 12 Dec 2007 12:41am Edited: Wed, 12 Dec 2007 12:58am
Masturbating The War God User Info... | Wow do I know how you feel. My friend and I finally got a dog friendly place after over a month and a half of looking. We just checked all the websites; Craigslist, Used Victoria, etc. You can try calling property rental places as well like Pemberton Homes, they have a listing of rental places and can help you out. http://www.pembertonholmes.com/British_Columbia_Realtor.Esquimalt_Property.275600801.html My boy Bandit is going to love our new place, move this saturday! - Wed, 12 Dec 2007 7:25am
Doc User Info... | As far as I know, all of the building that my landlord manages allow dogs. I don't have the phone number anymore, but the managers live at 1204 Yates street and they have several buildings. I'm sure at least one has a vacancy. ~drugs = success Doc - Wed, 12 Dec 2007 12:37pm
JDL User Info... | i know the boardwalk on north park/blanshard lets dogs live there(though its a condo building; so you'll have to find someone that owns a unit there). I also met a couple staffy's and pitties there too; so your safe on that front. - Wed, 12 Dec 2007 2:11pm
Masturbating The War God User Info... | Are you looking for a one bedroom? The place I am moving out of is not rented yet, and they allow and love dogs and my landlords are so incredibly awesome, it's $700, all utilites included, and it is located by Walmart on Douglas right by the Galloping Goose and there is a park 2 minute walk away where lots of people walk their dogs. E-mail me if you are interested. - Thu, 13 Dec 2007 5:32pm

Pierce User Info... | I think Victoria has to pass some kind of law or start some kind of initiatives to convince landlords to allow animals. I see ALOT of down-run homes, and abused properties, none from animals, but rather from those "lowered Expectants". - Fri, 14 Dec 2007 7:46am
Bounce User Info... | Property Management is what I do for a living, and I agree that it is hard to find a place when you have a dog or even a cat.... with the new Pet Deposits required on most rentals you would think home owners would be more likely to rent to pet owners,,,but....nope, being that there is not alot to choose from in Victoria for rentals anyway Owners are more picky and raising rental prices too.. the best thing for dog owners is to buy a home. ... so many dogs end up at the S.P.C.A because people don't think before they get a dog!.....the cost of rentals is really getting out of hand....$800-900 for 1 bedrooms, $1000-1500 for 2 bedrooms....whats happening here? anyway, craigslist is a good place for rentals, that is where I do most of my advertising......but when you call any owner or agency, do you allow dogs? should be your first question, there is nothing more annoying than a five minute conversation that ends in the answer no to pets!.....Home finders is good too...they will give you listings that allow doggies! good luck!... - Sat, 15 Dec 2007 5:00pm
Pierce User Info... | In 2004 i bought my first home. I remember saying then, that i should have stayed renting, because my mortage payment ruined my life . It was so much higher than renting, and it left me with about 100$ a month for weed. (GASP!) I quit my good paying job, so i was looking into renting. I could not find anything. Even with first/last/damage, i couldnt find a single place that would rent to me. Worst came to worst, and i found myself having to sell my home. In a last ditch effort i went to Royal Bank, and they re-mortaged me. Weird thing now is.......my mortgage is lower than most rentals. Now people can get a 40 year mortgage, and pay the same, if not less than renting. Housing markets are fucked. If i could, i would get together with like minded individuals and buy a kick ass animal house with deadly back yeard and such. Because i live in a condo, i send my puppy to Doggie Care every day, thats 400$ right there i could save, and put towards a mortgage. - Sun, 16 Dec 2007 7:35am Edited: Sun, 16 Dec 2007 7:37am
