| MindlessMikeyJay User Info... | Does anyone get confused on what to play at all? My original Intrument is Bass... I have been playing for almost 8 years.. although i love playing it i alway end up going back to guitar! But Guitar i am not the greatest at, BUT i love to just hear that distortion and just rock out. | MindlessMikeyJa User Info... | Yah... i play nu-metal i guess you would say, Korn, Deftones, Coal Chamber.. all the old stuff from the late 90's.. I write too much like the deftones on guitar and i play alot like fieldy from korn.. Sludgy groove bass. I guess ill find my way. ill probabl end up buying both guitar and bass. | Drustanos User Info... | Mike, I'm in the same boat. I started with bass but now play mostly guitar. I think most people like to be upfront playing leads on guitar rather than in the background on bass. I also find that usually the guitarists are the primary song composers, with bass being filled in later. I think both are great skills to have, especially if you plan to have a one man recording project. The more instruments you can play the better (as long as you can play them well).
