| Tom Toe User Info... | So some so called people on this site are making a joke out of 97 people losing there lives. Great White may not be your fav band so what, the people that died where rock fans like you or me. Great White is NOT carring on tour with a replacement guitarist that is a lie, the rest of the touring band are back in L.A. trying to cope with the tragedy. Jack Russell and his band had nothing to do with getting permission to use pyro on stage handlers and managers deal with that shit, the band comes in and plays everything else is organized before hand. Has for the club, CNN reports that many bands used pyro in that club with the owners permission, how much does a fucking fire extinguisher cost anyway? other clubs are coming forward to say that GW did ask, and when told no they complied. Sound proofing looks like the fuel that help fire race through the club so quickly. So remember the next time you "joke" about this that you stop and think about how it could have been you, and your friends, or family. | _Griphin_ User Info... | Regarding the fire which claimed so many lives: There's only one reason the soundproofing material caught fire, cause it dried out (if the club infact packed the people in every week, the heat generated from the crowds would dry out the foam over a number of years). Now what does this have to do with certain local clubs?!? Well it doesn't, but it could happen any number of ways. The clubs HAVE TO start having better ventilation, it might not be a fire that claims lives, someone might pass out due to the heat and die that way. The local club owners I think have a responsibility to those fans that make it happen (and make the club owners money). Then again, you hear what happened to that poor guy at Legends last week?!?
