_Griphin_ User Info... | Well I don't, but I've been without my computer since Saturday cause apparently the fan wasn't seated right on the processor, then I burned my power supply out. I do, however, love Asus equipment cause my motherboard didn't die (neither did my hard drive). To replace both fans did however cost me $134.47 (after taxation), I had the equipment fixed at DTI Computers on Quadra street (right across the street from Floyd's Diner). I bought the system originally from Microtech computers when they were on Quadra street, so I don't recommend people buy stuff from them (there now situated on Keating Crossroad, I think). Thumbs up to DTI, those guys are awesome!!! - Wed, 2 May 2007 5:29pm Edited: Wed, 2 May 2007 5:29pm
Shaggy User Info... | You paid $134 for PSU and remount the heatsink? You got burned bigtime Phil. Email me next time, and I'll save you some serious cash. DTI was a good choice though. What size and brand of PSU did they sell you as replacement? - Thu, 3 May 2007 11:10am
_Griphin_ User Info... | Yeah, I know I got burned, but I don't mind paying that amount (even though I should of been able to do the work myself, I'm better at software, not hardware). Prices were: $60 (Hardware service) and $59 (Power Supply, 400 watt, which apparently was larger then the power supply that came with the case). I also know who did the work (he used to be an X'er but ya think I can remember who it is?!?) I would of E-Mailed you, but with a downed computer I couldn't. However, I was thinking of buying a second computer minus hard drive and graphics card so if this computer dies on me, I can pop that hardware out and I can be up and running as this computer gets serviced. It would also come in handy for doing audio work away from home. - Thu, 3 May 2007 4:37pm Edited: Thu, 3 May 2007 4:40pm
