And those were all done after a long absence. Even Monica can attest to that. When I used to post here regularely I was always logged in. | Virge User Info... | i was thinking about this last night when reading the hit & run thread. ok granted, the internet is all about anonimity (anamosity? anomnity?) fuck it, you know what i mean. basically you can say whatever the fuck you want and not worry about the social repercutions because no one knows who the fuck you are, and you can do it again to your hearts content. last night i would have been all for mandatory logins, but now i'm not so sure. it probably would cut back on a lot of the slag because people would be building up their own reputations, and it would be nice when there's like 6 anons in a thread to know who's who. but if someone wants to put a paper bag over their head and talk shit i guess it's really up to them. the anons are just faceless nobodys w/ no personality. that's my take on em. i once alluded that a member of G.E. might consider some kind of anger managent therapy, and then met him a few nights later. we sorted shit out and that was that. but if i kept hiding then he would still be wondering who said that and i would feel like a putz. it's up to you. i say step up and be counted. p.s. cencorship sucks - Tue, 18 Feb 2003 9:10pm | ||

I'm one of the mouthiest people I know, and I'm really opinionated as well so that makes me even more irritating sometimes. I do have one thing up on almost every one of you though. I wont ever hide who I am, and anything I have to say to you or about you on here, I'll say to your face as well. If you dont like what I say you know where to find me, and if I pissed you off that much we can go deal with it if you really want. Generally speaking there is usually another way to deal with things, but I'm not blind there are some situations where violence is the only answer. I think it's one of the most gutless, spineless things Ive ever seen when people come on here and talk total shit and hide behind their computer. As for my girlfriend, well she's one of the sweetest girls you'll probably ever have the privelage of meeting and to talk crap about her deserves a beating of the largest kind in my books. | S.V. | Glad to see people are trying respect for a change. Luckily I've missed most of the recent drivel. All that shite talk gets a might bit nauseating at times. Personally I like the option of being anonymous if you choose... after all this is just a message board. Besides, just because you have a cheesy handle with a hotmail account attached, it doesn't make you more accountable than any other nameless shmoe here. However I do think mandatory registration that allows you to the alias of your choice would be a good compromise. It is good for me to hear the good and bad reviews of our shows. It makes us a better band. If being anonymous allows someone to give us a healthy dose of critism then good.
