Like I said at the start of this season, even if Vancouver makes it to the playoffs it'll take them 3 years with the present lineup for it to pay off with winning Stanley's Jock Strap (err... | _Griphin_ User Info... | That's cool Vancouver finally made it to the second round, but it seems they should keep shooting at the net even if 95% of the shots don't go in. According to Sportsnet, Vancouver is 1 for 4 against Anaheim in the regular season, which doesn't really make much difference in the playoffs. Crossing Fingers!!! | Meantime Mike User Info... | Well Van pulled Luongo because he is bagged, the bags under his eyes are huge, they had one day off between games and not much chance coming back froma 4-1 deficit that late so may as well give him some rest. Anaheim were pegged as a cup contender long before the playoffs.. one of the most powerful teams in the NHL on all fronts. Scoring, Defence, Net, Overall size and strength.. I think they also led the league in fighting majors? They also had 4-5 days of rest to the Canucks 1. They had far more jump and you could see that mid way through the first period the Canucks just lost their legs. Hopefully Vancouver get Salo and Bieksa back soon ( and Cooke too! ) as those two guys are a HUGE part of Vancouvers defence core. Highlight of the game for me was Burrows getting under Selanne's skin so much! | _Griphin_ User Info... | Told ya, give the new lineup 3 years. Luongo was simply AMAZING!!! But it's a shame Luongo had to keep saving Vancouver's butt. Vancouver isn't a hockey team, there a golf team! :) I don't understand why they had an equipment issue with Luongo, thank goodness Anaheim didn't score at that time.
