| NOISE NOT BOMBS User Info... | Ok I am a little pissed off. I whent to the Jamaican jerk house today to book a benefit show with Joey Only, and was told that durring the rebel spell joey only show we had there a while back that some grafiti was put in the washrooms on the wall (despite that they have a chalk borad) that was racist attacking them, one example they gave was "you fuckers serve no purpose" We can no longer set up these types oif shows there cause some fucking idiots fucked it up for every one, this was after we finally got it back after a long time. Most of the people that were at that show were really cool, the only problems was this and that idiot tom, who attacked me out front for no reson. But either way they fucked every one over. If any one knows who did this racist grafiti, please kick the shit out of them, and harrass them, if you (reader) did the grafiti, go appologize to the jerk house cause you helped fuck over the all ages scene here with this moronic action. thanks - Tue, 17 Apr 2007 4:50pm | ||

| lonemonk User Info... | I eat at Becky's about 3 times per week and even though it's against my love of music, I would rather them totally stop doing shows and instead at least stay in business. It's GOT to be a tough road even without the extra bullshit from assholes. I'm sure the place is nearly always two weeks away from closure in any case. They've closed the washrooms to patrons now as a result. I'm normally a pacifist regarding such situations, but this time I say fuck it! | evilkleg User Info... | I dislike all agers because there will always be drunk minors there and they will always do stupid things. Last time my car was vandalized. Hey, a long time ago I was one of the drunk minors at the all agers but I knew enough to do my drinking off premises and tried to control myself when I was at the venue. If the statement scrawled onto the bathroom wall was directed at change begging street trash, then I'd have to agree with it. In fact it's a refreshing change in graffiti, as of late all I see is "No blood for oil", "troops home now" etc. spray painted onto the sides of buildings. | lonemonk User Info... | I've been a part of all-agers where shit didn't get fucked up. There were drunk teens there (and lots of them). The biggest thing being worried about was the cleanup of cans/bottles at the GarryOak Room. (Or getting shutdown due to underage booze) Maybe its partially the downtown crowd? We never had those problems in fernwood for some reason. It makes me burn because it isn't so much what was done, but who it was done to. Becky is a kind dude, he likes music, and was only trying to get the word out about his place, and having shows make a certain amount of sense for his kind of place. He probably wishes the word wasn't out at this point. Wasn't there some other puking punks and broken shit from a show there late last year as well?
