_Griphin_ User Info... | Wow, nice work Ty! - Thu, 29 Mar 2007 12:51am
Ty Stranglehold User Info... | Damn Griph, where did you dig that up? That was one of two covers that I drew myself. Other artists included Tom Bagley (Forbidden Dimension) Gareth Gaudin (of Legends comics, Magic Teeth fame) Mike Rousseau (of the band TIM) Mr. Chi Pig (SNFU) and a few others that the names are escaping me... I've been meaning to make PDF's of all of them and put the zines up online. Those were good times. - Sat, 31 Mar 2007 4:11pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Actually you can blame Gym from Laying Waste for those. Actually I plan to scan them all in to PDF, so let me know if you want copies of the PDFs. I grabbed: Mystery Meat Issues #2, 3, 4, 5, 6 (the numbered issue), 7, 8 Coercion #4, 5, 7, 8 As well as Zines I had already: Holy Shit Issue #3, Youth Plague #4, 5, 6, 8 (the zine (cover) which appeared in that Black Flag book)). I wanted to see if LiveVictoria would be into hosting the PDFs, as my Shaw webspace is tiny. - Sat, 31 Mar 2007 5:11pm Edited: Sat, 31 Mar 2007 5:15pm
lonemonk User Info... | Griphin. Sign up to something like http://www.mydatabus.com which allows about 5GB of free space. If you have more than one email address you can have more than one account.... 5GB will host a fair bit - Sat, 31 Mar 2007 8:16pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Another issue... dun! - Sat, 31 Mar 2007 11:55pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | The correct color to Mystery Meat Issue #4 (I also cleaned up the front cover a bit), slowly but surely I'll get thru these. Sigh, I have no life. :( - Sun, 1 Apr 2007 2:30am Edited: Sun, 1 Apr 2007 2:33am
_Griphin_ User Info... | Issue #2 (oops, I didn't realize I had Issue #2, what I do need to find, Issue #1.) - Sun, 1 Apr 2007 1:31pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Mystery Meat Issue #6 (Artwerk by Mr. Chi Pig) - Sun, 1 Apr 2007 2:10pm Edited: Sun, 1 Apr 2007 2:15pm
T. Depression User Info... | I remember coming across the Issue of Mystery Meat with the Bagley art when I was passing through Victoria in summer '97. I always meant to get ahold of the guys who did it to trade zines (I did a mag called Dragsville in the 90's). I didn't realize until a few moths ago that it was Ty who did the mag. I gotta get ahold of some of the other issues! - Mon, 2 Apr 2007 7:50am
_Griphin_ User Info... | Mystery Meat Issue #5 As soon as the PDFs are done, I'm hoping to find somewhere to host all the zines I scanned in. I haven't heard from LiveVictoria in regards to getting them to host the magazines yet, it would be cool if they would store/host the magazines. A few more zines to scan in, then I start work on the Coercion zines. SCOOBY DOOBIE DOO!!! - Mon, 2 Apr 2007 11:37am Edited: Mon, 2 Apr 2007 11:38am
Ty Stranglehold User Info... | Thanks for all of that Phil, I haven't recieved the PDFs that you emailed me yet. As for posting them online, I'd like to hold off on the Mystery Meat stuff until I can do a proper website for them. Cool? @TDepression: I think I still have copies of most of the issues boxed up somewhere. Ty - Mon, 2 Apr 2007 2:39pm
Bryn User Info... | Wow, seeing those covers sure brings back a lot of memories! I had those zines years before I actually met Tyler! One zine I wish I had saved my collection of is Geezus from Vancouver, twisted sense of humour! - Mon, 2 Apr 2007 3:46pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Say, how many issues came out?!? Issue #5 was an awesome fanzine, and I really enjoyed scanning it in. Adobe does something strange, when I scan in a darker page (eg. photo page) some of the time it will reverse the colors. I found that the solution was to move up those pages to 8-bit (from 1-bit B&W). Nice to hear people are interested in the zines, so Ty, where do I send you the PDFs?!? (I'll also include the source graphics for you as I meant to keep the source images rather then delete them.) BTW: One of the issues should be in your mailbox. I think Shaw allows up to 20 megs in your mailbox. - Mon, 2 Apr 2007 11:54pm Edited: Mon, 2 Apr 2007 11:56pm
T. Depression User Info... | Ty, If you do have spare copies of those zines...I NEED some. Dig some out for me, and I'll trade you something for 'em. I'm a Victoria resident as of July 1st...we'll make a trade then... - Tue, 3 Apr 2007 7:11am
Brittney S User Info... | Hey Tyler! When you get your site up and running with your Mystery Meat mags let us know! We only have a couple of issues herre in Ontario ourselves. Miss you (and Victoria) Brittney (and Q) - Tue, 3 Apr 2007 1:28pm
