lonemonk User Info... | There is a project in Spain which collects samples and royalty-free sounds for all sorts of uses. Submissions must be compatible with Creative Commons license. The site makes use of extensive search tags, and they have a unique method of drawing waveform thumbnails which also include colours to indicate the frequency distribution of the sample. The company which wrote the software works on other audio things, like searching by humming the tune and such. There is about 40,000 samples up there. .
