Message Board > General Chitchat > Good titty bars in town? |
Johnny Grass User Info... | I'm looking for a good strip club in town to chill at. I went to the Fox and well, it was a complete joke. 1 stage? 1 girl per hour? Girls don't come and say hi to you? Guys don't tip? C'mon titty bars are supposed to be fun. It seemed like a strip club for children or something. Are there any good ones in town? - Fri, 15 Dec 2006 3:41pm
ROSS B AY User Info... | that's about it. - Fri, 15 Dec 2006 4:07pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Titty bars were a lot better 17 years ago when we had 5 peeler bars (Monty's, The Red Fox, The Kings (where Steamers is), Crown and I (where Sopranos is now) and The Sherwood (on Gorge Road East which is now another bar I can't remember the name of). Why did they get rid of 3 bars?!? Well, City Hall was worried the tourists might become offended so they started pulling the licences (I think), it's a stupid reason IMO. Monty's grew lame (correction, it's like a welfare bar now) once they fired Monty (he died shortly after). The Red Fox was cool before the fire, then they rebuilt a plastic bar to replace it. - Fri, 15 Dec 2006 4:51pm Edited: Fri, 15 Dec 2006 4:52pm
KSuga User Info... | From a girl's perspective... I like the fox better than monty's. Monty's girls look like they want to kill you or any girl that steps into the place that they dont know... like they take away buisness or something. i dont know... never had a "good" time in there... if you just want to go see girls... there is a place called Bell's Bar... below Syn which is like a burlesq(sp?) place and all the servers are in lingerie ... which is way hotter... at least i think so. And you can talk to them :) K - Fri, 15 Dec 2006 6:13pm
Mr. Hell User Info... | The Fox is as good as it gets here. On weekends the sets are back to back. I like The Fox because Loren has played KISS on the PA whenever I've entered the premesis. - Fri, 15 Dec 2006 8:44pm
dumpstermesh User Info... | I like the Fox better even though I haven't been there since the fire. On my 26th birthday a stripper pulled me up on stage and stripped me. Then she had me follow her around the stage shaking stuff at people. Quite the expereince and it never would've happened at Monty's. That place is so lame. Me and my friends did have to leave right after though because about half the bar wanted my phone number after that and we were getting TOO much attention. Then boys in my group were almost ready to fight!! Ahhh to be 26 again! - Sat, 16 Dec 2006 4:01pm
ROSS B AY User Info... | yeah when was that like 30 years ago you saggy pig? quit living in the past...... - Sat, 16 Dec 2006 5:55pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Hey, Monty's was really cool when they first opened. - Sat, 16 Dec 2006 8:51pm Edited: Sat, 16 Dec 2006 8:52pm
dumpstermesh User Info... | Hey, old toothless men adored me that night (weren't you one of them Ross Bay?) and I will never forget that I was wearing cut off grey long johns as underwear and a whole bar got to see that. SEXY!! - Sat, 16 Dec 2006 10:40pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | WOO!!! I know when the Red Fox was being torn down after the fire, we tried to get the brass pole from the place (good luck getting it cheap, the brass in the pole cost a fortune to buy. - Sat, 16 Dec 2006 11:47pm
trevor corey User Info... | What, was that like two years ago? Man I am getting old. Anyhow, I'm going to try to erase the image of Griph hanging upside down on his own personal brass pole in his living room, painted like a $10 rock bay hooker.YEESH. How about the Kings. That place had some class. Loved going there for lunch when I worked at a&b sound. Anybody else see the 400 pound Mitsy Dupree and her ping pong ball "show"? - Sun, 17 Dec 2006 1:01am Edited: Sun, 17 Dec 2006 3:15am
Curmudgeon Rocker User Info... | Yeah trevor corey I remember the Kings. I liked being blinded by the sunshine when you walked back out, in the afternoon - same with BBJ's. Saw that Liz Lyons freak there. She was confoundingly gross. Only performer I've ever seen who definitely required hecklers to sustain her with any kind of a livlihood. /another hot place in town - the fancy-pants deli next to the A+W at the Shelbourne Plaza. - Sun, 17 Dec 2006 1:23pm Edited: Sun, 17 Dec 2006 1:25pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | I never got a chance to see Mitsy and her pingpong ball trick, though I have heard about her set (a friend of mine (Mung Cookie) I think managed to catch ping pong balls she shot out into his mug of beer)). Hanging down on my own brass pole?!? TOO MUCH INFORMATION!!! - Sun, 17 Dec 2006 4:43pm Edited: Sun, 17 Dec 2006 4:44pm
