moron User Info... | Howdy. Curious if anyone has suddenly found the forums unreadable in Firefox 2.*? If I click on DHMTL flyout menu's link to the message board it loads OK but clicking on the main message board title in the top menu or any forum names (any links at all on the page pretty much) triggers the multi frame behaviour. See pic. Cheers - Sat, 2 Dec 2006 10:31am
Shaggy User Info... | FF 2 is a bug filled piece of crap Ron. I thought you of all people would know that. - Sat, 2 Dec 2006 10:51am
moron User Info... | Or more likely, the bug is due to some inconsistent frame naming and workarounds for piss poor standards compliance in IE. - Sat, 2 Dec 2006 11:09am
Shaggy User Info... | Then it would appear in all non IE browsers. FF 1.5.0.8 does not have this issue, it's a browser bug and only a problem with v2. There's a ton of bugs in 2 that have nothing to do with html code. It was just rushed out too quick to compete with IE7. - Sat, 2 Dec 2006 1:08pm
moron User Info... | Firefox doesn't have to compete with anything, it's a free application. IE however is needed by Microsoft to try to keep people locked into Windows (thus crap like ActiveX, including raw DirectX hooks in CSS, etc.). Both browsers have bugs though Microsoft's tend towards catastrophic and their standards compliance is shit. From a web development point of view especially IE sucks ass, no decent tools means no fun at all. Use the web developer extension under FF and it is pretty hard to even contemplate the suckage that is the IE experience. Anyway, the original question stands. So far this is the only site that I have ever seen this particular bug on and it only started in the last day or so (did not happen on Thursday). So it is far more likely that this is an issue with Livevic's code since the HTML and frame based layout in general has always been a little on the kludgy side from my experience. Tim-Bitchfork User Info... | Yeah happened to me, only sometimes. I have FF2.0 and like it. It's hard to say if it's a bug or was maybe coded toward IE and FF2.0 doesn't like it? In my experience, IE takes shortcuts and Firefox doesn't as far as how 'proper' they do things, so I assume FF doesn't like the code. - Sat, 2 Dec 2006 2:24pm Edited: Sat, 2 Dec 2006 2:25pm
Sati User Info... | yup, I let Nev know about this back when it started. He's crazy busy right now, but said he'll be on it in the next day or so. I just double click and things work out fine, so I didn't think it necessary to light a fire up under his butt or anything, but sorry for the inconvenience & thanks for mentioning it. I don't know what a lot of that gibberish meant, but FYI Nev's not exactly IE's biggest supporter. - Sun, 3 Dec 2006 8:03pm
FISH User Info... | It's doing it to me in IE... I don't think it's just firefox. . - Sun, 3 Dec 2006 10:00pm
lonemonk User Info... | Nope it has happened in many browsers I have. I Notice it hasn't happened in the last few days, so perhaps its over? - Wed, 6 Dec 2006 2:21am
Rubber Box User Info... | no its not over - Wed, 6 Dec 2006 4:12pm
