| Reagan Youth | I don't know if anyone's seen it, but i was watching some stupid movie about a metal band one late monday night on channel 70 ( "Airheads" I think it was called, it had Adam Sandler in it ), anyways , the only time you hear the band play is at the end of the movie. when I heard them play i realized that i knew the song. It was fucking degenerated by Reagan Youth re done and cleaned up. I thought this was really messed up, Regan Youth wouldn't have sold their song to some hollywood movie company. i wonder if they just stole it. anyways it was really fucked up seeing a 80's metal band jam out some Reagan Youth - Wed, 5 Feb 2003 12:02am | ||
| Ty Stranglehold User Info... | Don't be so sure that Regan Youth wouldn't be quick to scrape up some bucks. The way I see it is that the heart and soul of that band was their singer Dave Insurgent. User Info... | I was curious about this as well, I haven't seen Airheads, but a couple of my buddies were over and they heard Reagan Youth's original "Degenerated" and recognized it from the movie. Seeing this post re-sparked my curiosity so I just did a search. Apparently the song was a cover by a band called "The Lone Rangers." I'm not sure, but they probably did the cover before the movie, and I have no fuckin clue how the royalties were dished out, as there's only so much info on the net. | Ty Stranglehold User Info... | You just never know what the survivng members might be thinking. Having seen how far the Hollywood industry goes to make sure that everything is legally cleared for a film, I can't see the song being obtained wrongfully. - Wed, 5 Feb 2003 5:06pm | ||
