KSuga User Info... | I think kids are going to become even wierder and demented than usual after growing up with shows like; Aqua teen hunger force? (have you seen this? a milkshake... a box of fries and a meatball??) Far Coast? Fuck puppets are scary... Spong BOb Square Pants? geez... like do i need to say more? This show is FUCKED... Invader Zim? twisted... All i can say is i am glad i had normal ones to grow up with.... heman... shera... the simpsons... transformers... carebares and rainbowbrite... just a rant... no reply needed - Wed, 27 Sep 2006 4:14pm
Curmudgeon Rocker User Info... | Good luck going without a reply on a messageboard. A.T.H.F., along with Harvey Birdman, Brak, and Space Ghost Coast to Coast (the last one coming out ten years ago) are definitely twisted as shit. They're also the funniest animated shit (along with Family Guy) around, unless someone else thinks otherwise...... Does anyone remember a cartoon called "The Mighty Heroes"?. It was Ralph Bakshi's first thing, came out in '68. I was four years old, and it's one of my earliest memories, watching these goofy superheroes doing their zany shit. For the last 38 years I've never seen it re-aired on tv. - Wed, 27 Sep 2006 6:19pm Edited: Wed, 27 Sep 2006 6:34pm
Nik Olaz User Info... | I think it's more creative!! - Wed, 27 Sep 2006 6:34pm
Tyler User Info... | children's shows have always been messed up. I think this is a good thing and is what propels our sense of creativity and interest in the weird things in life. I wish I had grown up with Lazytown though, that show is amazing. - Wed, 27 Sep 2006 6:53pm
Suffuckation User Info... | I don't think any cartoons are as fucked up as day time talk shows. Kids who grow up with moms who have that shit on TV all day long are the ones who're gonna get warped. - Wed, 27 Sep 2006 7:29pm
kyle User Info... | Is the Brak Show still on Teletoon? I haven't seen it for a couple weeks. - Wed, 27 Sep 2006 9:48pm
lonemonk User Info... | I'm talking only Newspapers here, and you can quote me on this: There has been no comic worthwhile since Calvin and Hobbes! My backup regret is the ever-clever Bloom County(/Outland) - Wed, 27 Sep 2006 9:55pm Edited: Wed, 27 Sep 2006 9:55pm
KnifeGhost User Info... | To be fair, ATHF and Invader Zim aren't intended for kids. It'd be like somebody watching Fritz the Cat back in the day and thinking the kids would grow up weird watching the crazy bullshit they make these days, unlike the perfectly reasonalbe Merry Melodies stuff they grew up on. - Thu, 28 Sep 2006 1:49am
trevor corey User Info... | Meat Wad is some funny shite, no one has mentioned Home Movies either. I liked C. and H. when I was 11. Heard Rob Zombie is comin out with some ani. Always have a special place for HEAVY METAL though. - Thu, 28 Sep 2006 1:51am
Curmudgeon Rocker User Info... | Jesus Christ, Nik, our posts were exactly at the same time! - Thu, 28 Sep 2006 7:21pm
the grey army User Info... | The RIpping Friends and The Oblongs. not on anymore, maybe they are....no cable. that was the funny shit i must say. and speaking of cartoons never played again does anyone remember The Mighty Orbots? not very creative title: RObots...ORbots but whats in a name? - Thu, 28 Sep 2006 7:37pm
Hang the DJ User Info... | Transformers, Robots in disguise. Transformers, best show on the planet because it makes me laughhhh. Come on it involves robots how could it not be funny? - Thu, 28 Sep 2006 9:43pm
Microphonic User Info... | oblongs is back on friday nights on tbs, along with the short-lived bill oakley/josh weinstein-created 'mission hill.' i happen to love brak, harvey birdman, et al. definitely agree that kids who grow up watching maury, springer, or judge judy are was more likely to grow up twisted than kids who catch the odd episode of spongebob. -dv - Fri, 29 Sep 2006 12:06am
