for those with a sense of humor | and who aren't so self rightous and politcally correct. http://tardblog.com - Fri, 31 Jan 2003 7:23pm
Anonymous | too funny - Fri, 31 Jan 2003 10:22pm
2Funny | This is soooooo funny! - Tue, 4 Feb 2003 3:06pm
S.V. | That site made me sick! May a thousand hungry maggots feast upon their pathetic gray matter. People like that should find a new career. - Tue, 4 Feb 2003 5:00pm
Anonymous | Why? Because she can laugh at it? If you work in a profession that deals with saddness all day, why the hell be sad all the time and not look for another way of dealing with it... like HUMOUR? Ask and nurse, paramedic, doctor, or teacher and they'll say the same thing. If you got sad for every person, then you'd be a pretty miserable and burnt out person.... that's the kind of person should find a new career. - Tue, 4 Feb 2003 5:42pm
Jason User Info... | ya I saw this posted on the bloodred board. I have mixed feelings about it but that didnt stop me laughing out loud a few times. For those who feel the moral righteousness to condemn it, go back to your little pc fantasy. I'm sure everything is nice and simple there. - Tue, 4 Feb 2003 6:10pm
jay brown User Info... | O.K. I couldnt help but laugh at some of that, but it was one of those guilty, fuck I hope nobody see's me laughs. I know why s.v. didn't like it and I can totally understand that. - Tue, 4 Feb 2003 6:41pm
Mr. Hell User Info... | I went there, I saw it, I laughed my ass off. Did anyone read the disclaimer, F.A.Q., etc? It's a tough thing for these kids, of course. Tough for the teachers too. They gotta laugh or they'll go insane. - Tue, 4 Feb 2003 7:07pm
S.V. | Yeah I read the disclaimer, which made me all the more curious. If I ever found out my child's worker had that attitude I would raise hell. The thing I found most disturbing was her consistent use of the word "it" when describing the children she worked with. That to me speaks volumes about her attitude. Pure mean-sprited, gratuitous drivel as far as I'm concerned. - Tue, 4 Feb 2003 9:17pm
RSBF | i consider myself a pretty easy-going, humour/sarcasm filled person. i thought that site was pathetic and to be honest, it didn't make me laugh at all. just my opinion. sometimes i hate this world and it makes me sick. blah blah...... i want a glass of Bin 444. - Tue, 4 Feb 2003 9:47pm
Anonymous | SV and rsbf- what do you do for a living? - Tue, 4 Feb 2003 10:23pm
RSBF | why you wanna know? how is it relevant? - Tue, 4 Feb 2003 10:40pm
RSBF | Bin 444 rocks - oh looky looky - i'm in a better mood now!.......... there are other ways to relieve the stressors of your occupation - humour yes, but does it have to be of this type? okay, going off to jam now........ there's always something better to laugh at then the less fortunate.... in a way, perhaps they ARE the fortunate? food for thought. Mr. Hell, you're going down - i'm going to kick your ass if it see ya in Esquompton. - Tue, 4 Feb 2003 11:40pm
RSBF | 'it'? frick i'm cut off. - Tue, 4 Feb 2003 11:45pm
Anonymous | it's weird how the people who i've talked about this issue with all work in the health care field with people who are demented, elderly, handicapped, etc... most of them agree that humour is a good way to cope with the issue. on the other hand, it seems that people who don't work in these kinds of fields seem to get bent out of shape more easily. yes, joining a band or running or something can deal with stress and give an outlet, but it's still not dealing with the worker's emotions about a particular person, etc... there are 100000000 stories to be told about students and people in hospitals. this is just one person's way of dealing with it. i do it, too. i have to laugh about sick shit to get through my job. to each their own. - Tue, 4 Feb 2003 11:51pm
S.V. | I work in a community centre and work on a daily basis with individuals with all types of abilities. What's more to the point is that I am a parent of a child with special needs and therefore probably am more offended by the author's crass attitude than most people on this board. One of the main reasons I rarely pop in here anymore is that I'm constantly confronted with the the term "tard" and the bigoted attitude so many people display here about people with exceptionalities. It's sad when you need to make fun of innocents to get your jollies or "release stress". I too sometimes find my child's "antics" humourous, but I would never degrade or mistreat my child (or any other) in such a way. Shame on her, I find the whole website repugnant. Just my humble opinion. - Wed, 5 Feb 2003 1:07am
Mr. Hell User Info... | **Mr. Hell, you're going down - i'm going to kick your ass if it see ya in Esquompton.** Good thing I don't jam tonight. I will stay indoors until sunrise now. - Wed, 5 Feb 2003 1:28am
RSBF | what can i do to you electronically to make up for this? thought i'd see ya but was surprised with something else ; ) go to bed. - Wed, 5 Feb 2003 1:34am
RSBF | maybe i should go to bed.......... but there's more wine so no. - Wed, 5 Feb 2003 1:35am
Spark | Now, i completely agree that if you dispise your job so much you shouldn't work in that field. I didn't really fdind anything all that hilarius but I did find interesting to venture into this woman's psyke and see just how jmessed up she is. I think that if you read into how she degrades her students it opens up this ijmage of how she acually feels envy towards them because dispite how awful thier lives are, they feel no distress or embarressment or remorse, unlike her. - Wed, 5 Feb 2003 12:20pm
nicci | I think I have a pretty good, albeit weird sense of humor...I can appreciate laughing at others misfortunes..that site is not funny. Its disturbing, I'm w/ SV on this one, that is fucked up! - Wed, 5 Feb 2003 2:38pm
Anonymous | i totally understand what you're saying, and i didn't like the fact that the teacher seemed to be making asses out of the kids on purpose sometimes... and humiliating them... even if they didn't understand that it was happening. i can understand laughing at some of the shit that happens though, that's not teacher induced. - Wed, 5 Feb 2003 3:53pm
Mr. Hell User Info... | I laughed alot because it reminded me of Junior High and High School. Brought back all the funny memories of occurances that happened. I agree that intentionally inciting these poor kids to freak out is not cool. The shit they do on their own is still funny as hell. - Thu, 6 Feb 2003 1:59am
