| ~~~~~~o~~~~~~ | Actually some of the EZ Boards are good. easy to make an account, will work with other EZ Boards, and they can be set up to allow guests to post, but not reply. That way bands/musicians or fans who just want to make a quick announcement, hack or comment can do so, they just cant follow up or take part in meaningful threads. Meanwhile Neville could assign 3 or 4 moderators who are regulars and arent idiots, and they could help weed out meaningless, racist or childish threads. If they went down as fast as they were put up, soon they would almost stop. This would allow for a more mature board that would improve the image it portrays of the Victoria scene. Regulars could still be silly, but without the freedom of anonymity, and repeat idiots could be banned. Bottom line is that this board does represent Victorias music scene, but it should represent all the styles that this city boasts. All I ever see here is metal, punk an rock.. where are all the jazz musicians and hip hoppers, country, blues etc. - Fri, 31 Jan 2003 2:36pm | ||

Everyone has the right to post whatever they want, within reason. Other boards I post at require a log in to post and it doesnt seem to be a problem there. It doesnt mean its less public or that it interferes with people expressing themselves.
