Message Board > General Chitchat > 1/4" reel to reel tape question |
evilkleg User Info... | I found these 1/4" reel to reel tapes from long ago and was wondering where I should go to have them mixed and burnt to a cd? 3 tracks- 1&2 are stereo live off the floor and 3 is vocals and solos. Recorded at a high speed. - Tue, 15 Aug 2006 11:05pm Edited: Tue, 15 Aug 2006 11:05pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | How to transfer the recording?!? Do like I do with cassettes, find WaveLab then record the material in realtime, then once you split up the tracks, run Steinberg Clean on it to make it sound better (add bass, get rid of pops and scratches, etc.). I wish I had a 1/4" reel to reel, but I don't. - Wed, 16 Aug 2006 10:40am
evilkleg User Info... | Maybe you misunderstood. I don't have a reel to reel 4 track so I need to find a studio or someone who has the proper equipment to help me. I would be willing to pay for their time. - Wed, 16 Aug 2006 1:02pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Oops, I misread the screen. 2 people to ask, either Garry at the Rats Nest (383-8679) or Scott Henderson at Sea of Shit studios, though I've heard SoS studios is no more thanks to the divorce. - Wed, 16 Aug 2006 4:05pm Edited: Fri, 18 Aug 2006 11:22am
