Tito Santana User Info... | trying to find an apartment is like trying to pull teeth. does anyone have any apartment sites i could check out? as usual, the times colonic has failed me. cheers! email me at [email protected] - Wed, 9 Aug 2006 6:58pm
J User Info... | homefinders.net or .com i cant remember... its a small fee i think, but they'll find you what your looking for or at least the next best. good luck - Fri, 11 Aug 2006 9:03am
STBP User Info... | Just walk around with a notepad. Plenty to be had from owners/managers who don't want to bother with the classifieds. A desireable area that gets a lot of foot traffic has no trouble renting a place. My last apartment in the Quadra/Southgate area was one of at least a dozen decent places in the neighbourhood that didn't advertise with more than a sign out front. Timing is everything (time of the month I mean). - Fri, 11 Aug 2006 9:29am
dumpstermesh User Info... | I used homefinders once...now I'm more inclined to just walk around with a notepad and pen like STBP suggests. I was not a happy customer. - Fri, 11 Aug 2006 2:33pm
J User Info... | that sux that homefinders didn't work out for you, tho' i know alot of people it has worked for... tho they were extremely desprate for a place to live, and of which they found great places from these people... so if you have the time i would think the notepad idea would be good, but if your in a pinch... id give realter's a call or property management companies' a call - Fri, 11 Aug 2006 3:06pm
moron User Info... | Any pay service like homefinders is going to be a rip off, not to mention sleazy as hell since it basically preys on those who can least afford it. Whichever MBA thought that one up deserves to be forced to live on the street for a month. Try the UVIC housing society listings, they usually are pretty decent: http://www.housing.uvic.ca/ads/index.php?a=5&b=185 Cheers - Fri, 11 Aug 2006 3:42pm

J User Info... | specifically using homefinders.net may have been a bad example... but to say that "they" "prey" on those who cant afford it? that contradicts itself dont you think? if you cant afford it then why use it? as a salesman, if i knew you couldn't afford it but wanted to do everything to get what you wanted... then i would do everything i could to get you what you wanted, period. If you end up going broke because YOU made a bad choice, dont blame it on the person that advised you. so basically if you still dont understand what im saying... "if you cant afford it, dont bother with it" on a side note- the uvic housing is a good place to find roommates as well as places to live... as with craigslist too. - Sat, 12 Aug 2006 3:26pm
