| moron User Info... | Howdy. I am completely fed up with SOCAN's anti-consumer and anti-grassroots policies and have decided to try to run for the board of directors if possible. Immediate issues I would like to bring up are SOCAN's continued support for the blank media levy, their recent lawsuits trying to make Internet Service Providers pay for client's MP3 downloads and actions against non-profits for playing music at socal events (they sued a community association for playing some music at a school dance for example). The SOCAN system is corrupt and I want to do what I can to change it. It turns out that an election is just around the corner (I was not aware of this until today) and so I am in a bit of a rush to get 25 signatures together for a nomination. I am curious if there happen to be any SOCAN members reading this who have received royalties in the last year or two who would be into signing a nomination for me to run for board election? It really pissed me off actually and I hadn't thought about it since, but now I think I'll try to join again.
