| THE VOICE OF REASON | Livevictoria's messageboard sucks for many reasons. Here's just a quick rundown of why and how. It is overpopulated by closed minded, mentally and socially defective metal heads who hate everything and have no imagination thus slugging everybody who actually has anything decent to say. In a stagnant city where the music population is so weak that Hot Hot heat is seen as a local equivelent to the Beatles, any band that shows any sign of inginuity, or originality is totally suffocated and jaded by the lame asses that claim to support "The Scene", while in actuallity all they do is slag anybody who isn't in their band or the bands they play with Shameless Self Promotion / Gig reviews - I know there's a lot more bands than the three shitty metal ones that play here too much and constantly give themselves and eachother self boasting reviews. I'm surprised a lot of the chimps here can even type a full sentance. From what I've read here I think it's safe to assume the most frequent posters here are just old tired burn-outs who are WAY past their prime. Yeah ska does suck, but at least some people are having a good time without acting like old tired burn-outs. I think i'm done venting for now. I for one am behind the idea of mandatory accounts for replying to topics or for reading replys, and guest accounts for starting them ( for show announcements etc ) As for your comments about close minded metal heads a slaggin, well it may be true, but I for one am open minded about music, as are the other members of my band. Our singer listens to friggen' April Lavigne for chrissakes! We are all supportive of the other bands in this city no matter the style.
