Pierce User Info... | I have been here 9 years. The one thing that pisses me off about you Vancouver Island people (if you are from VI) is that you can never give just a fukin address. Why is it that every single person i ever speak to feels the need to give a 5 min lecture on directions instead of giving me the fukin address. I buy alot of stuff used online and they all do it. Just give me a god damn address, too easy! There. - Tue, 4 Apr 2006 5:29pm Edited: Tue, 4 Apr 2006 5:32pm
ROSS B AY User Info... | Its' because you're a fucking newfie, baaiy... - Tue, 4 Apr 2006 5:33pm Edited: Tue, 4 Apr 2006 5:33pm
Ammut User Info... | It's because somebody was obviously smoking way too much pot when the road plans were being made up and there's too many fucking one way main streets and streets that start off, then end, then start again 3 blocks over. Also, there are a few streets that for some reason or another change names at seemingly random spots! - Tue, 4 Apr 2006 5:38pm Edited: Tue, 4 Apr 2006 5:45pm
Jesspsycho User Info... | hahahahah so true! I dispatch at a cab company and people do it all the time. I am a dispatcher I know where Douglas st is thanks! - Tue, 4 Apr 2006 5:51pm Edited: Tue, 4 Apr 2006 5:52pm
Troutbreath User Info... | Over the course of three blocks the street I live on changes names three times, I'm not kidding. Borden to Cedar Hill X Rd to Morris in three blocks. The next nearest section of Cedar Hill is more than a mile from here. You can't imagine how hard it is just getting a pizza delivered. Even with the computerized system they have these days there is still a lengthy explanation on file with our favourite place. - Tue, 4 Apr 2006 6:35pm Edited: Tue, 4 Apr 2006 6:44pm
SickFuk User Info... | Where I live is immpossible to get a pizza/cab delivered without wtaching them drive right past my house.... My place is in Victoria, across the street is Saanich... so I'm on the 1000 block, across the stret is the 1100 block... confuses the hell out of delivery people 'ere - Tue, 4 Apr 2006 6:53pm Edited: Tue, 4 Apr 2006 6:55pm
Sati User Info... | oh, you country mice just make me laaaaaugh, and laugh! - Tue, 4 Apr 2006 8:49pm Edited: Tue, 4 Apr 2006 8:49pm
dumpstermesh User Info... | When I used to deliver food for Dine In I was more amused by the people who would give me the color of the roof of a house on Dallas Rd. Ya, like I want to decifer the shade of rooftops instead of looking for those pesky numbers. The story is funnier if you take into consideration that it was dark out. I love the many name changes our roads go through..it keeps the kooks out. - Tue, 4 Apr 2006 9:12pm Edited: Tue, 4 Apr 2006 9:16pm
Nik Olaz User Info... | At least you're not in Vancouver being given directions. Oy vey. - Tue, 4 Apr 2006 10:09pm Edited: Tue, 4 Apr 2006 10:10pm
dink User Info... | Begbie addresses turn into Pandora addresses half way up the block on the north side of the road (roads???) between Stanley and Fernwood, totally fucking confusing!!! Keep in mind though all these streets were made from horse trails and are what give this town a unique character. Go to parts of Edmonton and see how ugly miles and miles of straight boring roads can be. Basically deal with it or preferably move back home. - Wed, 5 Apr 2006 9:46am Edited: Wed, 5 Apr 2006 9:59am
ROSS B AY User Info... | You're a fucking newfie too, aint' ya? - Wed, 5 Apr 2006 1:43pm Edited: Wed, 5 Apr 2006 1:43pm
Pierce User Info... | Fuckin Newfies. I lived iN edmonton for 2 years. Its a god damn square. Extremely easy to get around. Here, its a civil engineering disaster. I live on Hockley Ave, well thats what my Adress is.....however, I dont live anywhere near Hockley Ave, go figure. Still,.....the other day i bought a bench off of an old lady downtown. For 5 mins, she went on and on about how to get to where she was. After ignoring her and wishing immediate death on her, I looked at the map. The stupid bitch lived at the end of Douglas, down by Dallas. How fuckin easy is that!? No, she had to tell me to go through fukin Port Alberni/. - Wed, 5 Apr 2006 4:22pm Edited: Wed, 5 Apr 2006 4:25pm
Troutbreath User Info... | No, she had to tell me to go through fukin Port Alberni Ummm.....you know a better way to get down to end of Douglas St? - Wed, 5 Apr 2006 4:47pm Edited: Wed, 5 Apr 2006 4:49pm
dink User Info... | Newfie I am not. This country has been paying dearly since 1949. Think of all the poagie checks that have been sent out there. What pisses ne off about VI is people accusing me of being a Newfie. - Fri, 7 Apr 2006 9:33am Edited: Fri, 7 Apr 2006 9:36am
ROSS B AY User Info... | Yeah that pisses me off too. - Fri, 7 Apr 2006 4:29pm Edited: Fri, 7 Apr 2006 4:29pm

_Griphin_ User Info... | Thing is Pierce, I get annoyed when tourists come up and ask me directions, if ya can't deal with a story to go along with directions, may I suggest you pick up one of those City Guide book maps and learn it from the inside out. See that's the problem with Victoria people, we tend to babble with tourists, it annoys them so they won't bother coming back. :) - Sat, 8 Apr 2006 1:44am Edited: Sat, 8 Apr 2006 1:47am
Pierce User Info... | "Thing is Pierce, I get annoyed when tourists come up and ask me directions, if ya can't deal with a story to go along with directions" I am talking about when i ask for an Adress, not directions. I have a book thats called a map. It gives AMAZING directions. - Sat, 8 Apr 2006 10:02am Edited: Sat, 8 Apr 2006 10:03am
_Griphin_ User Info... | Doesn't it?!? (jeez, I'm still misreading the screen) - Sat, 8 Apr 2006 8:27pm Edited: Sat, 8 Apr 2006 8:27pm
Andy McBeer User Info... | You know what pisses me off about Vancouver Island? All the people who come here from other places who get all bent out of shape when we try to be helpful instead of just sitting down and shutting up for 2 minutes. This is the ISLAND, man! Time goes slower here. Just relax. You're in paradise. - Wed, 12 Apr 2006 5:35pm Edited: Wed, 12 Apr 2006 5:36pm
Ward Ensemble User Info... | maybe you are so important that people can't stand to think of you not finding them, and in the thrall of your greatness tend to over-explain their wherabouts to you. - Fri, 14 Apr 2006 10:01pm Edited: Fri, 14 Apr 2006 10:03pm
Pierce User Info... | You could be right! However, today i was proven wrong. 2 phone calls, both of them said an adress immediately. I paused, waited for the huge explaination on how to drive to Douglas Street, but no, they came through. Thank You. - Fri, 14 Apr 2006 10:26pm Edited: Fri, 14 Apr 2006 10:28pm
Crapper User Info... | you know what pisses me off about Victoria.. All the people whine and complain about everything all the time. Shut the fuck up! - Thu, 4 May 2006 2:51pm
Rubber Box User Info... | are you complaining? - Fri, 5 May 2006 9:03am
hang.the.dj User Info... | It's because most people don't know how to find things based on just an address, that's why. And so what if they go through a five minute lecture? Learn to have some patience. - Sun, 7 May 2006 8:06pm
Pierce User Info... | I have accepted defeat in this matter. I just had a guy who came by after countless round trips trying to find my place. My adress is 893 Hockley. He used a map. I can understand now why directions should be used, Victoria is a civil engineering disaster. How can i POSSIBLY be on Hockley.? I am the star, Hockley Starts and Ends about an inch (depending on size of screen) to the Right. Arent I jacklin? How much does our "Street Namer" dude get paid.? - Sun, 4 Jun 2006 5:25pm Edited: Sun, 4 Jun 2006 5:27pm
Lordpatch User Info... | you ever been to atlanta, ga? they do the same and count the miles out for you. it's way of centering you so you know where you are and where you're going and a hope you make yourself at home. you find the place, eventually and it makes sure that you know your way around. folk just being helpful here is all. - Mon, 5 Jun 2006 11:14pm
