_Griphin_ User Info... | I used the graphic you see above, I was gonna go with a white background, but I went crazy crying to get the conversion created. I went to that place in Mayfair mall, just give 'em the graphic you want to use and about $28 and within 24 hours your T-Shirt is done. My only complaint (which I never noticed when I was picking up the shirt, I think the graphic could be raised up about a half inch. Where to find graphic... http://www.deniskitchen.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/C_JB.fritz.b.jpg -=- I didn't really do anything to it, well other then reversed the graphic before I brought the disc in, though I doubt you even have to do that, but if it helps them out, cool... - Thu, 23 Feb 2006 11:54pm
Jesse The Malcontent User Info... | http://image.guardian.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/arts/2005/03/10/crumb_fri_seven.jpg R. Crumb rules - and not to be a downer but he hated fritz the cat. really you should have gotten a t-shirt of the pigmy who hopped up a hooker's high heel and turned it into a car - that's the robert crumb I've come to appreciate... - Fri, 24 Feb 2006 2:07am
Lonemonk User Info... | The reason he didn't like Fritz the Cat (I presume) is once he signed the agreement allowing the movie to be made, he really had no more say in how it would unfold. Perhaps he thought the story didn't match well with his rendition. He approaches it a bit in the documentary, but mostly to say he wasn't very happy. It pretty much the only time he ever 'sold out' so to speak. After that he turned down movie projects all the time, even when promised he could have greater control. Pretty typical outcome when someone else takes over your creation. . Killing two birds with one stone, here is a treat for both fans of R. Crumb AND the lovely Philip K Dick! This is one of my favourites cause I dig both guys a lot: http://www.philipkdickfans.com/weirdo.htm . - Fri, 24 Feb 2006 11:44am
_Griphin_ User Info... | It was tempting, but I recieved a T-Shirt from an artist when I lived in Vancouver, and it was the same image (this was before the advent of Inkjet printers and special Kodak paper you make iron-ons with). I honestly don't get why you can't buy R. Crumb shirts in this city. I know his company only released a few shirts, and nothing that looks really cool. I went over to Rogers video to try to rent the movie on DVD, I know I've seen it for sale before, apparently the manager said that the cartoon is banned in Canada, I don't see why unless it's the subject matter of anarchists blowing up a power plant with Fritz's help. - Fri, 24 Feb 2006 4:16pm
lonemonk User Info... | I think what he's telling you is bullshit. I've seen it on late-night canadian television a few years back. Along with a bunch of Ralph Bashki movies which have every bit as much sex and violence as fritz does (if not much more). The guy is clueless. - Fri, 24 Feb 2006 5:41pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | He's not clueless, he's a video store manager. Oh wait a sec... :) - Sat, 25 Feb 2006 12:02am
mikey User Info... | It's not banned in canada, it's probably just not at your "local" Rogers. Stay away, stay far away from chain stores like rogers and blockbuster. they are using their economic power to try and censor movies. Try your local video rental place. Yo video in oak bay is a really good little store. there are many others too. - Sat, 25 Feb 2006 6:59am
_Griphin_ User Info... | Heh... I'm sure if I went to A&B Sound or HMV, it would be easier to purchase then rent. I know both Fritz DVDs are sold in one package. Besides, it's hard to get a video account when you don't have plastic money, I used to know the manager at Rogers hence why I have an account there. I love that Seven Chakras of Crumb drawing (hey c'mon, give me a break!), I was thinking about that today. :) - Sat, 25 Feb 2006 11:18am
