| Wheate User Info... | Has anyone watched this movie? Long story short; a clinically insane thirty-something decides to live in the wilderness with Grizzly Bears. Guess what? He gets brutally eaten. Who woulda thunk. Did anyone who has seen this actually buy that this man "connected" with the bears? | mudflap User Info... | I saw this the other night. Yep, he was pretty nuts.. he seemed also kind of child-like and innocent somehow. His attempt to appear bad-ass during his rant at the Parks Board was like a kid's tantrum, with no insight at all. He seemed in this make-believe place in his head all the time. An adult, and yet really not a mature being grounded in reality. Bummer about the girlfriend too.. That coroner guy was enjoying his 15 minutes of fame immensely, and seemed like quite a nutter.. | Anonymous User Info... | gotta defend this guy. he was definitely fucked in the head in a lot of ways. but he spent more than 10 summers with bears, up close. figured out enough about their social code not to get killed for over a decade. he only got eaten when he brought a woman out with him one summer and they stayed later in the year after the regular bears left nd a new badass bear wandered along. bear probably hungry, sensed fear or something, wrong place wrong time, bad luck. killer footage the guy managed to get over the years. i'm not saying he wasn't crazy. he was crazy. but he gave a shit and did what he felt was right. i know he had selfish motives too. whatever, he has my respect. - Fri, 10 Feb 2006 7:12pm | ||
