| mudflap User Info... | You never know what you're going to see at Logan's Open mike night. I have no idea who these people were, but one night this very attractive girl and this dude got up and just FLOORED everybody with their freestyle and beatboxing. This girl in particular, she could really sing, too. whatta set of pipes, and the freestyle was amazing. They were great. Hopefully we'll see them around. Otherwise, there used to be this hiphop collective doing a night at Lucky called Stirfry, but I don't know if it's still happening. - Sun, 22 Jan 2006 12:28am | ||
| ENIGMATICA ENTERTAINMENT User Info... |  I was speaking with the would be promoter for Akon today and they told me things didn't work out in the end although it looked like it was going to be fine (I can't get into details)... Anyway from what I heard there will be more hip hop coming to town. There is more than a couple promoters that are capable so that's a good sign for someone that wants to see more live hip hop. BTW: A little birdie tells me Too Short tickets are up to $50 because there are so few of them left so I'd get on that while there is still an opportunity if that's your thing. | IVXX User Info... | that's all good, people. even if someone books the crappy old curling rink on quadra again, I'd be happy. missed young buck there last year, but never again. and outkast did it for me for a while, but please please please don't put fergie front and centre next time. are they reading the crowd to satisfy chick singing or what? couldn't figure out their choice of sets, which sucked. clubs here are seriously overun with highschool grad chicks with pathetic attitudes. sorry, but that's the overiding picture in victoria, until something changes. it's like one big juvenille fan club. - Fri, 27 Jan 2006 9:03pm | ||
