$13-$15 for "tribute" bands?!?! LMAO! 2 shows like that is an eighth of sweet bud, or 3 "REAL" shows. - Sat, 28 Sep 2002 11:53am

Adrenaline Animal No question that Gn'R should headline. - Sat, 28 Sep 2002 4:15pm
Anonymous 13 dollars for a bunch of victoria kids playing other better, more talented people's songs is absolutely crazy. i'd pay 5. maybe 7, if it was actually on halloween. i mean, a halloween show before halloween is okay, to raise the anticipation (i get very excited for halloween you see) but after halloween is no good. might as well be a christmas show. - Sat, 28 Sep 2002 6:39pm

it just think that it's pretty lame that there was already an Iron Maiden tribue(Powerclown) booked months in advance, and their thunder is stolen by a tribute show the night before booked reletivley recently. - Sat, 28 Sep 2002 7:34pm

yeah i dont really agree with it either. regardless, ill be there on the 2nd. - Sat, 28 Sep 2002 8:13pm
DTP It does kinda suck that i had to put the show the night before powerclown. But the date was available and the bands were available. My apoligies to J Brown but I hope both shows do well. For the record these are not local kids doing a stick. These are 3 complete separate bands (sharing a few members) from outa town that have full pyro, costumes etc. etc. I have put this show on in the past and it is awesome. Whoever said they thought it was only worth $5 or $7 have a nice halloween sitting at home smoking your bud eating mini chocolate bars left from the candy jar. - Sun, 29 Sep 2002 1:36am
Kickstart Fuckin' Eh! about time we had some cool shit happen at SG, a hell of allot better than those wannabe punk bands that keep playing there.
kiss punk good bye cause eighties hair bands are are making a come back.

can't fuckin wait. - Sun, 29 Sep 2002 1:27pm

Yeah, cuz cover bands are soooooo much cooler than bands playing their own tunes. I know a place where you can check out all the cover bands you want. The Cambie - Sun, 29 Sep 2002 10:03pm
Ty Shutit Ok listen original bands doing original toons is very cool. But come on 3 quality tribute bands in one night and for a halloween party, don't get much better than that. Hmm why is cambie doing cover bands, oh yah cause ty's shitty fucking punk rock bands couldn't fill the place and they went tits up on original local bands. Ty get off your fucking high horse, sometimes it's nice to see something you recognize and shit can even air guitar too. As opposed to 3 chord shit punk bands smelling of piss and the fans miss half the show cause they are outback drinking king cans at the bus stop! - Sun, 29 Sep 2002 10:17pm
RAZOR whoa dude, did ya forget to take yer meds today? whats with all the haters hatin' on all the hottie punks? hey that could be a jerry springer episode... heh, air guitar. - Sun, 29 Sep 2002 10:34pm

LOL! I'm sure these guys are "quality". Probably as "quality" as the last tribute band (Hells Bells I think they were called) I saw play that got booed offstage when Nirvana played here a loooong assed time ago at the Forge. Nothing like seeing some big haired wannabe's that have no talent and need to cover other bands shit. Yepp, it just doesn't get better than that...lmao - Mon, 30 Sep 2002 11:21am

fuck i hate gnr. no seriously i do. and whats with their new lineup, fucking robin finck, ex nine inch nails. buckethead (wtf is up with him doing that, he is way fucking better than slash though, buckethead is fucking crazy), some ex replacements bassist and brian the former drummer from primus. fucking weird. and yeah, the show is costing too much, its a cash grab after a holiday. atleast thats my opinion. - Mon, 30 Sep 2002 7:38pm

Hey, I was just replying to kickstart over there. No need for hostility(heh heh). If you think that GnR and Crue cover bands are "Quality".... Well, uhhh..... okay. As for Maiden, at least the boys in Powerclown put their own spin on things.
The reason the Cambie doesn't do punk anymore is cuz they decided to listen to the inbred fucks who live in the parking lot.
Oh yeah, I hardly ever smell like piss anymore. - Mon, 30 Sep 2002 8:35pm
