sincitydevil User Info... | Hey, I'll be relocating to Victoria in the next couple of weeks and I was wondering if anyone knew of any good, clean, dog friendly apartment rentals in the area? It'd be wicked if the place was near a park...but my main concern is finding a nice place for my dog and I. Any assistance would be appreciated... ~Cheers Shawn - Sat, 13 Aug 2005 9:13pm
Jesspsycho User Info... | Good Luck :) It is really hard to find affordable housing in this city that will allow a dog. You usually pay an arm and a leg to have pets. And be careful at parks in the city. The new dog catcher is an asshole and he stalks parks and things looking for unleashed and unliscensed dogs. If you go to the Victoria Animal Control Website you can find out where the dog friendly parks are and then maybe look for rentals in those areas :) - Sat, 13 Aug 2005 11:06pm

sincitydevil User Info... | Hey... Thanks for the heads up...the local knowledge is always appreciated...unlike asshole dog catchers. I'll definitely make sure I get my dog licensed so I can shove it in the wanker's face. I'm still hoping I can find a place for under $725/mo that will take myself and my small pooch. It blows my mind that people are so against animals these days...especially when there are so many degenerate humans roaming the planet. ~lol~ Cheers for the info!!! ~Shawn - Sun, 14 Aug 2005 10:58pm
J User Info... | hey, i used to live in a condo building on North Park st. right by earls restaraunt and they allowed all pets in there... there was full sized dogs(staffy's, shepards etc..) living there and it was fine.... for a bachlor there it was 565 and i believe one bedrooms are 765 or 665 i cant remember... but that's a place you could check out. Good luck on the search and welcome to our humble town - Wed, 17 Aug 2005 4:17pm
sincitydevil User Info... | Hey J... Thanks for the great lead...I'll definitely try to find out what building that is and whether or not they have any vacancies... Looks like I'll be flying down next weekend sometime to have a look around... It'll be good to be back in a city again.... - Wed, 17 Aug 2005 4:26pm
The One After Two User Info... | I live in a building that allows pets (and all sorts of oddness), and to be honest, I hate it. There are so many fucking cats hanging about, people just let them loose and my neighbour, when I walk past his place, reeks like cat shit... the dude needs to empty the kitty litter. My old upstairs neighbour's dog barked all the goddamned time... thankfully they moved recently. My next place - NO PETS - Wed, 17 Aug 2005 5:28pm
Ward Ensemble User Info... | try looking for a basement suite... lots of those for under 725. they usually don't have as many restrictions. You may end up with a yard. Luckily for you, small cute dogs are viewed more openly in rumour mill victoria. Try having a 100+ lb Rotty last year after the vancouver child killing thing...nasty. Anyway, I've seen a lot of dog friendly suites in the burnside area, quadra st.(upper quadra incl.) and some places along craigflower. Good luck to you and your pooch. Oh, by the way, my Rotty and I have yet to even see this assmunch dog catcher, although I know some who have had run ins. Know the rules, don't give him a way to fuck up your day. their are plenty of off leash areas for dogs and their people to have an free range good time, in spite of the skeptics ideas. - Thu, 18 Aug 2005 11:14am
Tyler User Info... | am I the only one who finds "pet clause" hilarious? I thought so... - Fri, 19 Aug 2005 1:47am
J User Info... | well the place i was in on north park was clean and smelled fine... the address was 827 N.Park if your still lookin' 'sin'... but it does suck when your neighbour's dog decides there's a stranger outside at 4am and lets loose the bark of the devil... fuck does that ever get annoying. The only complaint i had about that building was being right behind victoria apts.... THOSE places are sketchy at best, i usually awoke to some strung out fiend yelling at the world about some sort of problem he/she/it has, and or serious yelling matches between tenants... other than that everything was fine - Fri, 19 Aug 2005 4:59pm
