" which model? you can pay as low as 49.94 american if you catch a sale at BesTBuy and as much as $800 american aswell. the card is worth $250 (programmed)alone if you can get them cheaper tell me were i'll buy them this is one of the good ones with all the options including RF remote(wich means you can have the reciever in another room and still change channels while you watch TV. plus a host of other options. - Thu, 26 Sep 2002 8:04pm | ||

| I have one | To get a new programed card is about $300.00 anyone that says it is cheaper may be able to get one for a bit cheaper but not much. To get a whole system installed with working guaranteed card is about $400.00 that is the rate. If someone can get me a guaranteed HU card for $50 no bullshit post a reply I will buy 10-15 off you right know cash up front. | Watch TV | yes of course you can pay different prices for the nearly same item shop around all you want.but those guys won't stand behind the manufactures warrenty, i will. If you can buy it cheaper somewhere else then go buy it. this is the fair price for this system, my contact has sold 300+ systems in victoria for the price above. of cousre you can download programs of the internet and program it your self for free. but card loopers cost 200-1500 and the programs off the internet tend to go down often, so your always surfing for programs and not watching your dish. there is also several people around town selling these dishes. good luck locating them unless you already know them. they usualy advertise in the TC and as you know its been on stike for a month now. - Fri, 27 Sep 2002 1:42pm | ||
| ML7Mike | Actually, its funny, I bought my virign HU on EBAY for $125 Cdn. But all Ive seen locally are at least $150 - $200 ( blank ) A freind of mine picked up a whole system off a disgruntled owner for $80 though. Im lucky, my neigbour programs my card for free. I say to save money, invest in the programmer/unlooper device. Its easy to use and codes are abundant online. PS: I have an H card for sale heehee.. :) Direct TV will be replacing HU with P4 cards soon and the HU's will be cheap again.
