Detroit Velvet Smooth User Info... | i'm going cause a friend asked me to go with him. i'm hoping to see lots of young girls, make up for the lame music. . - Thu, 23 Jun 2005 10:04am
RollingRocks User Info... | It started with Nik Olaz, then [+} got in on the action, but Detroit Velvet Smooth takes the cake. Alexisonfire suck. Learn how to sing. Also, Jason you're a fool. And Peter... Bought, not baught. Thank you. Yes, I am a petty asshole. Deal with it. SEEYA TOMORROW NIGHT! - Fri, 24 Jun 2005 3:56pm
Nik Olaz User Info... | the reason i dislike AoF isn't because "they can't sing", it's more behind they're trying SO hard to be something theyre not: original. it would be different if they just cut out the "Screaming" bits because it's NOT intense, it just sounds out of place, coupled with what they're playing. their music isn't that "out there" it's all relatively simple stuff. they're a cheap screamo clone, where the real core of screamo is long dead and gone, and now we are left with all these radio-friendly versions. this is of course pointing out why I don't like them, not why they should be discredited. after all just because someone can make ill comments about something doesn't render it useless. - Fri, 24 Jun 2005 9:25pm
jepsycho User Info... | I agree --- I listen to thrash metal etc so it's not like I cant stand the screaming it's his screaming I cant stand it just doesn't go with the music they play!!!! - Sat, 25 Jun 2005 3:58am
cooper User Info... | "radio-friendly"? When was the last time you heard Alexisonfire on the radio? - Sat, 25 Jun 2005 6:38am
J User Info... | yesturday on the zone... - Sat, 25 Jun 2005 9:24am
G unit User Info... | Alexisonfire is actually an amazing band. Dallas green has an amazing voice, and the parts the drummer rights, are just so well done. The song structure and the contrast they use is phenominal, and some of the backround harmonys are outstanding. Yo ualso got to give alexisonfire props, even if you dont like there music. After many hug record labels trying to sign them, and get rid of the screamer, and make them actually "radio friendly." They have refused, stuck to their guns, and kept with their small, indy label. They also work their asses off with endless touring and playing small canadain town all agers that normally wouldnt get a band that big out. At these gigs they rarely make rarely make that much money, but still do them, unlike most bands once they start to gwet air time. Alexisonfire has worked its way up, stuck to their guns, and have gotten famouse through word of mouth and people countinuing to request them on stuff like much. - Sat, 25 Jun 2005 9:59am
k8 User Info... | I have never heard Alexisonfire on the radio. They do get played a lot on Much Music, however. - Sat, 25 Jun 2005 3:28pm
Trican User Info... | umm.. they did change their sound to get signed... have you heard watchout.. it's all dallas.. why? because george sucks - Sat, 25 Jun 2005 4:28pm
RollingRocks User Info... | I still think they suck. - Sat, 25 Jun 2005 4:51pm
G unit User Info... | first fo all, i like the new album more, because i love dallas' voice and i like their slower songs, however they never changed their sound to get signed, considering both records were put out out Distort records in Canada and Equal records in the states. Their next record will be put out the same way, so their changing their sound to expand and grow as artists. - Sun, 26 Jun 2005 7:48am
Brandon User Info... | they lick ass - Sun, 26 Jun 2005 8:09am
Nik Olaz User Info... | i've heard them quite a few times on the radio. then again my exposure to the radio is about less than an hour a week. theyre usually on that dumb station the Zone. - Sun, 26 Jun 2005 10:42am
Mutilashawn User Info... | I think they're the coolest mainstream rock band. And very fun live. - Sun, 26 Jun 2005 11:07am
The One After Two User Info... | so where can I hear some Mitochondrion on the internet? - Sun, 26 Jun 2005 4:13pm
The One After Two User Info... | http://www.mitochondrion.ca/ oh here it is... great new logo, hope you sell lots of t-shirts... I might need to track one down. Hey, this is neat Homunculus is a pop band from Ohio... now "In the Reign of Tusk" makes a bit of sense to me. Man what a hard-core reference to throw out there for your fans to discover :-) http://www.homunculture.com/ - Sun, 26 Jun 2005 4:19pm
Nik Olaz User Info... | hahahah yeah well homunculus dates back past that band...its complicated but i'm sure if anyone searched on the net they'd find out what that lyric is talking about - Sun, 26 Jun 2005 7:43pm
ODIN User Info... | I shit you not, I typed homunculus into google images and this is one picture that came up. - Sun, 26 Jun 2005 9:03pm
The One After Two User Info... | yeah I typed that into google and found all sorts of stuff... but I thought that one was funny. Probably the unintended side-effect. You guys should bring Homunculus out to Victoria for a double-bill. Now that would have some entertainment value :-) - Mon, 27 Jun 2005 8:08am
