Nat User Info... | wheres the best place in vic that isnt way too expensive? - Wed, 25 May 2005 3:31pm
alcoholly User Info... | Fujiya on Shelbourne across from Shelbourne Plaza. It's mostly for take out but it's really fresh. They only make small amounts at a time or will make you whatever you want. There is a little bit of seating inside (it is actually a Japanese grocery store as well). Don't know about actual sittin' inside restaurants though......... - Wed, 25 May 2005 5:14pm
Dr.DoomXXX User Info... | Chikara or Azuma. Both places sell beer too so drink up:) - Wed, 25 May 2005 5:15pm
dumpstermesh User Info... | People people... The Japanese fukking Village is the BEST sushi in this city. It's across form the library downtown and it is the best. The Fatty tuna melts in your mouth and the you have to try the negotoro roll, and dynamite roll. - Wed, 25 May 2005 10:12pm
ML7Mike User Info... | Fujiya is decent. Otherwise that place in Vancouver on Main and Broadway is a great after a night of drinking, headin to the ferry Sushi stop. Good prices and I always like to see a Japanese chef making my Sushi. ( and you can get that fancy hangover coffee next door in some trendy coffee joint ) - Thu, 26 May 2005 7:39am
jay brown User Info... | well, Sen Zushi used to be the best in town hands down. But they redid the whole place and i havent been in since. Futaba is really really good, but kinda expensive. Azuma is pretty good as well. Japanese Village is o.k. if you want steak and lots of very americanized dishes. There are about a million good places in vancouver.......... I always end up going for pho soup when I am over there though....yummy. - Thu, 26 May 2005 8:06am

Helonwheels User Info... | Chikara( used to be Fuk U sushi) kicks ass, they have a wicked bento box special at lunch for i think $7.95, can't beat it. It's a cozy little place to get some great sushi. I also love Thrifty's sushi. Damn! Now i want sushi, that stuff is higly addictive. - Thu, 26 May 2005 9:51am
dumpstermesh User Info... | hey Jay...I've been to the Japanese Village many times and the sushi is still the best. If you go there just sit in the sushi bar section and watch Sammy (Japanese chef) do his thing. - Thu, 26 May 2005 10:42am
Mr. Hell User Info... | AZUMA. {Thanks to Beef Curtain Cocks for turning me onto this mecca} Decent prices and good food! Bento boxes are $6 for lunch daily with a different main for each weekday. Today was chicken katzu day, for example. Ikura is my fuel these days. BBQ eel and scallops and all the guud stuff. Going to Azuma for my Birthday dinner, whenever that may be. All those who are interested in tagging along should email me. In Vancouver...SAMURAI!!!!! Huge portions, great taste and freshness and the price is reasonable. I just tried Jako off granville this past weekend for our pre-show meal and I have to say it was pretty killer, and everyone in the van {except Ling Cod, who didn't make a sound during the gorging} agreed that it smelled "fucking awesome". - Thu, 26 May 2005 1:53pm
XY-SATAN User Info... | Japanese Village is damn decent plus their teppan is awesome, and the steak sauce (on your rice) is outa this world ! Little Tokyo is good in admirals walk just switched owners so it may have changed , the teppan is good here also the teriyaki sauce has to be the best in Victoria ( always get noodles and ask for extra sauce) . And I've been around ML7Mike and Mr.Hell on those sushi hung mornings …..NO fucking thank you I need something greasy and fried just like my brain ! But no no no SUNSHINE BEAKFAST !! I'll E-mail you on the date of your deathday Mr.H sounds like fun . - Thu, 26 May 2005 2:11pm
jepsycho User Info... | Go to Duncan to the japanese place downtown called Ming something. Definately the best sushi on the island. and its in Duncan? Wierd eh? Try the Dynamite rolls oh my god they are an orgasm in my mouth. - Sun, 29 May 2005 1:13pm
day_trippen User Info... | if you want cheap 10$$ and tasty all you can eat sushi try tokkido sushi on hillside and douglas, but i have got to say little toyko sushi at admirals walk has the most kick ass udon and dynamite rolls, it's cheap and delicous- you can't beat that! - Tue, 31 May 2005 4:11pm

Pubert User Info... | that place beside the odeon on yates street is pretty cheap and good, but if anyone can find me a shit-load of discarded foreskins, i could do it cheaper...whaka whaka whaka - Wed, 1 Jun 2005 5:08pm
Mr. Hell User Info... | Tried Little Tokyo the other day. Below average food, slow service and too crowded. They also shorted me a BC cone. I give it a thumbs down. Went to Tombo on Douglas at Fisgard today. Prices are really good. You get 9 pieces per order, as opposed to the usual 6. Big hunks of fish in the maki! Kamakaze roll is killer! Spicy sauce {not mayonnaise} is unreal! Tombo...highly recommended!!!! - Thu, 9 Jun 2005 9:21am
moron User Info... | Japan Foods on Yates is best bang for the sushi buck in town. They also have one of the better veggie rolls around which too many of the other spots seem incapable of making (the monstrosity served by that Japanese place beside The Market on Yates and Quadra for example, yuck). 16 decent sized pieces (8 veggie, 8 avacado) for $6.85 with green tea is a good deal IMHO. I just wish they would not put bonito powder in their Miso soup base. Cheers http://industrial.org - Thu, 9 Jun 2005 9:32am
Nocturna User Info... | Japan Foods on Yates??? I thought they closed down ages ago, have they finally re-opened?? They were my favorite! Azuma's is pretty tasty too though. Veitnam Garden on Pandora & Cook makes a mean Ph'o. - Thu, 9 Jun 2005 3:17pm

jepsycho User Info... | Has anyone had sushi from the sushi bar at Oak Bay Marina Rest? I have a gift certificate for the restaraunt and i thought I may as well use it for sushi since the rest of the food is probably wicked expensive! - Wed, 22 Jun 2005 12:00pm
