I've been waiting fucking years for the movie.....and I think there still is hope it will get made. The books were fucking awesome too. Diamonds, Diamonds by Max Webster Alien by Mendelson Joe the beginning to "The Spirit of Radio" by Rush (before Geddy starts to sing) all the really BAD James Brown records (before the Scotti Brothers records which are so bad that they're terrible.) Nena's 99 Luftbalons (but only the German one) Hot Hot Heat's 2nd single (the one that sounded like the Gang of Four) all those awful Johnny Cash records from the '70's when he pumped them out like sausages outa Columbia records. To call it expedient product is to be charitable, Cheezy soul-jazz from the Vortex and Embryo labels, started by Herbie Mann in the late 60's on Atlantic's dime. Living Colour. The band that is. I also have Gang of Four somewhere (Is it Love); I do remember Living Colour, can't remember the guitarist's name but he released a solo album a friend of mine made me listen to several times - I think I would rather listen to Nana Mouskouri at 75 RPM it was so unbelievably awful and screechy.
