| Mr. Hell User Info... | It's not just venues. Some promoters pay no money or little money when shows do decently. I think that when a band or musician is not treated fairly it is okay for them to tell their story publicly as long as they are 100% truthful on the events. Maybe doing this will make some aspects of the grind more honest. | Lucius User Info... | nothin says loving like taking the afternoon off to load and setup gear, play all night to a packed room, selling thousands in drinks, and getting a crisp $100 bill from the promoter. | Zippgunn User Info... | Good idea Mr. Hell with heavy emphasis on the truthfulness part of it. I have rarely ever been truly "ripped off" by a bar or promoter; more accurately I allowed myself to play in a situation where I was unlikely to make any dough.
