Dano User Info... | Been hearing some weird shit about this place. Lame shifts, bizarre dress-code restrictions, & something about a penalty/pay reduction system for keeping peeps in line? WTF? Anyone got any personal experiences to share??? ~Dano - Sun, 23 Jan 2005 3:51pm
Nik Olaz User Info... | i applied there, and apparently i didnt do so great on their tests and they told me to come back in three months. thats stupid i hope that place catches on fire. - Sun, 23 Jan 2005 3:56pm
Curmudgeon Rocker User Info... | Worked there a year ago for a couple of months. I was mistaken in thinking that sales wasn't involved, and then after they started pushing too much for "pco's" I bailed outta there. If you like 'checkin out the hot chicks' like this totally buff stallion does, you will enjoy the scenery. /not quite the westgod that Dodsanger nor Dr. DoomXXX's brother was. /Mailbox Dave and canon.docre schooled me too with their westerlyness. - Sun, 23 Jan 2005 9:09pm

Destinova User Info... | There's tons of West horror stories. The reason not being because the place was bad. It wasn't. It was a great place to work if it weren't for all the other fuckheads they hired. West hires anyone. Well, anyone that can pass their grade five level "test", sorry Nik. Basically, they hired any dumbfuck who walked in the door. Which means you have all the schmucks in the city working with you. All I ever heard from everyone there was complaining. Complaining about fucking everything! Oh well, soon enough, everyone was fired and they went back to working for minimum wage complaining about something else. - Mon, 24 Jan 2005 11:44am
The Box Drone User Info... | I've heard very mixed things about west. I think it's the kind of place where some people thrive, and others are stifled by the corporate monolithicity (look mom, I made up a word!) of it all. There are alot of weird rules & pay raises & cuts depending on performance, attendance, etc. I know people who get away with murder there, and I know people who've done everything right & gotten the hardcore shaft, so who knows. I applied there a year ago or so & aced all of their tests except for the spelling portion. They told me I could take it again the next day, and then if I failed that one in another 2 months. So I wrote down every word I could remember from the test, went home, downloaded a list of commonly missspelled words, and studied it non stop until I went back & took the test again the next day... and got the EXACT same score. It was very suspicious. I'm glad I didn't get in though, because I month later I got very cushy office job with an international clinical research organization, and I've been here ever since. As far as the West test goes, I would have to agree that it is about at a grade 5 level, but the spelling test had alot of words I don't find myself using a whole lot... - Mon, 24 Jan 2005 4:44pm

Død[]Sanger User Info... | West is an easy big paycheck... People call, tell you whats wrong, you fix it, pretty cut and dry, sit on your ass all day, benefits, show up on time and you get an extra buck an hour... Though they have fucked up my pay about 4 times though I allways got it settled with, but at the end of the day, west still blows and as soon as I found another job I ran for it... BUT its not worth overlooking if you want to make 12.5/hour + an extra 2 hour if you are fast... To get hired, pass a spelling, math, and "personality" test which felt like shooting fish in a barrel and youre in... Kicks the shit out of fast food, but I'd sooner take any other computer job... (listening to bitching people daily for $$ gets to ya) - Thu, 27 Jan 2005 3:17pm

Mike K User Info... | I recently just got hired by West. I think I might need to get MORE feedback from people who work there. Reminds me of working at Zellers AND Value Village. I have numerous horror stories from those places. Also reminds me of "American Business Solutions". Those ads for telemarketers $10/hr, that keep popping up in the paper and on the Job Bank website every damn week. Its pretty malicious corporate b/s. They have target sales levels that you have to reach, and if you dont you get canned. Also people quite so often, they always need new people. Same with Value Village, More than half of new hirees quite within 2- 3 months. In 3 months that I was there, they hired about 20 new people. I think when I quite there was maybe 7 or 8 left. - Sat, 29 Jan 2005 3:08pm
