moron User Info... | 11x17? What kind of turn around time? What format do you need source images to be? Any limits of the process as far as detail level or similar stuff is concerned? What colours of paper? Hooray for colour posters! =) - Tue, 28 Dec 2004 6:26pm
moron User Info... | Here's a basic description of the process I came across: http://mindprod.com/bgloss/risograph.html Cheers - Tue, 28 Dec 2004 6:30pm
Metropol Steve User Info... | The Riso prints at 300 dpi so that qualifies as a detail consideration. Turnaround time is less than 24 hours (because we rock). We can accept JPG, TIF, PSD, PDF, AI, EPS, QXD, IDD, and CDR files. Current paper colors we have are white, blue, green, yellow (canary), buff, tan, grey, lilac, salmon, pink and a few others at a limited quanitiy. Something you may want to keep in mind when designing for two and three-color Riso printing is plate shifting. You can expect a 3/64" shift on your color plates so don't design with super-tight registration. For a two color poster, you'll want to sent two separate 11x17 files (one for each plate) to avoid any needless editing charges. As for business cards - yes. Keep in mind that the Riso gives us the ability to do super-cheap high volume simple color printing. We still do lots of reasonable B&W and full-color printing. The Riso is the third machine we have added to our print side. I encourage you contact us for all your printing. We're a bunch of print whores. Give us a call is you want to discuss your project. 384-POLE. Steve - Wed, 29 Dec 2004 1:34pm
