newwaver User Info... | http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/artists/3InchesOfBlood/ this is awsome... they will be more metal than ever... hopefully this means the hipsters will stop coming to their shows and clapping along to metal... hopefully victoria metalheads come out in force on the 15th... - Mon, 4 Oct 2004 5:03pm
Bryn User Info... | "hopefully this means the hipsters will stop coming to their shows and clapping along to metal..." Ha ha... sometimes 3 Inches strikes me as kind of a joke band for emo kids who are too cool to buy Manowar albums. - Mon, 4 Oct 2004 9:48pm
This from someone that calls themselves newwaver? User Info... | You obviously don't know much about 3 Inches of Blood, or metal, or hipsters, or much of anything. Hopefully Victoria Fuckheads like you comeout in force on the 15th! - Mon, 4 Oct 2004 10:20pm
Bryn User Info... | You've got to admit that 3 Inches of Blood isn't exactly "not for trendy ears". - Mon, 4 Oct 2004 10:44pm
Robnoxious User Info... | Trendy ears need not apply - Mon, 4 Oct 2004 11:54pm
Livevic Scott User Info... | You guys do know they started out as a hardcore band in Vanderhoof arround 1995 or 1996 (there abouts??) before eventually moving to Victoria/vancouver. They used to gig arround the all ages scene here for years, then one day they started to play old school metal kinda as a joke thinking it was funny .. then the joke kinda took over and now thats their band =) - Tue, 5 Oct 2004 8:26am
starspree User Info... | I'm personally really excited about their lineup change. They have some of the best of the best west coast metal musicians now. And I have to say the last time i saw these guys i was really annoyed by the "hipsters" dancing around and clapping. This new line up is only going to enhance their reputation within the metal realm. I'm going to make it to the show in Calgary, it's going to be a good one. Jason "Wimps and posers leave the hall!!" -- Manowar - Tue, 5 Oct 2004 11:07am
canon.docre User Info... | I am pissed they stole the drummer from Goatsblood and I am not amused by the fact that they play 'true metal' as a joke. No thanks. - Tue, 5 Oct 2004 11:59am
starspree User Info... | oh yeah, Justun if you read this ... bring your drinking horn to Calgary!! Hail!! Jason - Tue, 5 Oct 2004 12:28pm
Anonymous User Info... | hipsters? as in they dress in a different little costume than you? what do you care? three inches of blood are good, and people like them. why are you hatin' on any kind of cross-scene diversification? - Tue, 5 Oct 2004 6:42pm
Curmudgeon Rocker User Info... | starspree: Does Manowar song in question also have the lyric: "We're gonna kick some goddamn ass tonight!!!!" Is Cam still w/3OB? /misses Black Vein Prophecy. (interesting said band's drummer now drums for HotHotHeat.) /what's with all my legalese wording? - Tue, 5 Oct 2004 7:29pm
starspree User Info... | I'm merely agreeing with the author of the thread. This lineup is going add a new level of metal sensibility which people that listen to them for the mere nostalgia might not enjoy. This lineup will provoke a really mature sound that will likely bring in more metalheads. I think "cross-scene diversification" is fine it'd just be cool to see more of a metal horde come out for their shows. btw, what's with leaving an accusation like that with anonymous as your alias? newwaver User Info... | im curious as to where in my post it says "i hate hipsters"... i mearly dont approve of out of time clapping to galloping triplets... it would be akin to me going to see chet(for example) and showing my devil horns... just tackless... that said, i dont care who goes to see them. i will be there to see the musically ability of the new line up... dont get me wrong though.. the old line up was amazing as well.. and you're quite right... i probably dont know anything about metal.. but then i didn't see you at exhumed mr. scott. - t.egan (who's online alias means fuck all) - Wed, 6 Oct 2004 10:32am
KnifeGhost User Info... | Dude, I've thrown the \m/ at Chet before...... Next time I'll bust out the Claw..... Jay Watts used to be in 3IB, didn't he? Back in the Vanderhoof hardcore days..... - Wed, 6 Oct 2004 9:02pm
Gorey corey User Info... | $15 at the door for thir show??? Wtf is up with that? It was barely more than that for KMFDM and Cannibal. What a gyp, I wont be going because of that price. - Tue, 12 Oct 2004 11:02am
