_Griphin_ User Info... | Strange how the mind works when you don't drink. Seems I've got a chopper idea in mind built around a mountain bike, dunno what's gonna happen, does anyone show similar interest in such a mad project. I've included a picture of a frame built by nonamecustoms in the states, but I'll probably fabricate something else. Yeah, blame American Choppers for this idea. If your interested in doing something similar, perhaps we could do a biker buildoff, then meet up in 6 months and try to attempt the Galloping goose. Until then... BTW: E-Mail me if interested, I rarely read LiveVic these days. - Fri, 20 Aug 2004 11:42pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Here's more of like I had in mind... The white bike, thought the black bike looks cool too. - Sat, 21 Aug 2004 1:18am
mavis User Info... | Cool. And you could put your favorite beverage (would that contain alcohol) in the gas tank, eh? - Sat, 21 Aug 2004 10:46am
_Griphin_ User Info... | I dunno if that would be a good idea, unless you build a container within the gas tank. - Sat, 21 Aug 2004 9:16pm

V User Info... | I dont know, man. I mean the thing about choppers is that the caster (or is it camber? i can never keep em straight) on the front wheel of those things is really meant for cruising. It'll always want to go in a straight line; that's why you can take a nap with your hands behind your head and wake up still going in the same direction. The drawback being that you lose out on handeling ability, and I would think that to be of prime importance when avoiding collision with trees, rocks, etc. The other thing is that with the forks set at such an angle, wouldn't there be a very deffinite chance of seriously bending them landing your bike from any quasi-serious air time, or even just coming off a big rock or something... Maybe I'm just thinking too hard again. Fuck it. It sounds like a blast, just have fun! P.S. Those are some bitchin rides, there. - Tue, 24 Aug 2004 3:22pm
T Racy User Info... | I know a guy who bought a frame like this last summer. Some guy in Langford was (is?) making them. Great idea, but you might want to do more research about how many others are already doing it. - Tue, 24 Aug 2004 4:36pm
